Despite Being Pretty Awesome, Tekken 6 Wasn't The Mega-Hit Namco Needed.
Namco’s recorded a whopping $129million loss for the nine months ending December 31st, compared to a profit of $99.4million in the same period the year previous. That’s a lot of money, yo.
As a result the company has announced they are to cut the employment of roughly 10% of their workforce. That’s gutting news for about 630 people.
“Since the management integration, the Bandai Namco Group has focused on bolstering its Group foundations through organisational restructuring and other efforts to achieve fusion as a new group as quickly as possible,” said the company.
Namco will start a three-year plan in order to get things back into the green, starting immediately.

Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign Will Soon Get Online Co-Op.
The scenario campaign in Tekken 6 (essentially, a modern Streets Of Rage) was absolutely not the best thing about the game, but you have to admire Namco’s will to tout it. Not only is it the focus of the game’s menu, but it’s also about to get a patch adding in online co-op. There’ll even be voice chat.
The patch is due on Monday.

No Panda. No Sale.
A leaked poster for the upcoming Tekken movie confirmed our fears. The movie will feature no Kuma, Panda or Roger Jr. There is literally no excuse for this in an age where CGI is basically properly amazing. We suggest you boycott this movie out of principle.

Namco Intend To Put More Of Their Catalogue On The PSN.
Namco Bandai has made a lot of games. A lot of games. That means they have an impressive back catalogue. And in this digital age, there’s always someone willing to spend money on a piece of nostalgia, or an unvisited game. Hence, Namco Bandai’s plans to “increase its digital distribution presence.”
No actual specifics were given, but the report does state that Namco intend to bolster their PSone Classics and PSP presence via the Playstation Network.
Anything you’d like in particular?

Tekken 6's Online Should Work Much Better From Tomorrow.
Woohoo! We’ll soon be able to actually, y’know, play Tekken 6 online. Namco Bandai have announced that a patch will launch tomorrow, improving connectivity between players and subsequently reducing lag.
Namco are also improving the responsiveness of button inputs, and adding in a cancel option if you’re unhappy with connection of your matched opponent. Excellent.

Hopefully DLC Includes That Puppy You Can Put On Paul's Head.
Whilst most people probably care more about a Tekken 6 patch than DLC at this point, producer Katsuhiro Harada has commented on uk.playstation.com that any released content for the game is likely to be free.
We’ll won’t argue with getting something for nothing so, we look forward to some content. We look forward to a multiplayer patch even more however.

Noby Noby Boy: Still Amazing.
Remember the over-arching co-operative nature of Namco Bandai’s Noby Noby Boy. That’s right, we’re all increasing GIRL’s length in hope of reaching new planets and subsequently unlocking new levels. Know then that GIRL has finally reached Jupiter after stretching to a length of 576,682,810 miles.
Hurrah! Well done folks.
