Look, It's Damon Albarn As A Lego Figure.

Girls who want boys who like boys who do boys like they’re girls who… Somthing, something, something lovvvvvvvve. We like Blur. Everyone likes Blur right? Hence they’re joining the growing cast of cameo appearances in Lego Rock Band. Sadly, the worst Blur song will be making an appearance in Lego Rock Band. Here’s a hint: “woo-hoo”. Got it? Yup, not hard right?

You can check out Lego Blur doing their thing here.

Shame they didn’t choose Parklife though.

Harmonix Taking “Wait And See” Approach To The Beatles: Rock Band DLC

Further The Beatles: Rock Band Content Is Undecided.

Further The Beatles: Rock Band Content Is Undecided.

Worry not, The Beatles: Rock Band DLC is coming. There are three records already announced. However, beyond that, support for the game is looking a little shakey. Namely because working with The Beatles’ back catalogue is an expensive business. Harmonix’s John Drake told BBPS, “It costs thousands to produce DLC.”

“It’s not like Rock Band where we wait for the masters to come in and just author them … its like, send people to Abbey Road, use the original tape, separate them out,” Drake detailed. Harmonix have also promised to create fresh, original dreamscapes for all the tracks. In short, there’s a lot of work to get through.

So it’s all going to depend on how well the initial DLC sells. “If they sell well, we’ll have a lot more content,” Drake concludes.

Activision: Guitar Hero 5 Beat The Beatles: Rock Band Because It’s Fun As Hell

Guitar Hero 5 -- It's Guitar Hero Alright.

Guitar Hero 5 -- It's Guitar Hero Alright.

We still can’t believe Guitar Hero 5 sold better than the fantastic The Beatles: Rock Band. It literally blows our mind. But thankfully Activision’s Guitar Hero business CEO Dan Rosensweig is on hand to explain exactly what happened:

“The number one thing about Guitar Hero is that it’s fun as hell — it’s focused on the guitar, and the variety and value proposition — and the reviews are spectacular. So I guess we’re the only ones not surprised.”

Hmmm. Dan went on to joke with GamesIndustry.biz that “internally we always talked about the Fab Five – Guitar Hero 5 – was going to beat the Fab Four.” Hahaha-no.
