Microsoft’s Greenberg: “Sony Did A Good Job At E3, I Have A PS3 & Play Games On It”

My Aaron Greenberg Apreciation Went Up A Notch With That Quote.

My Aaron Greenberg Appreciation Went Up A Notch With That Quote.

Reading a comment like this really warms our heart. We prefer it when companies say nothing about each other, but if they’re going to talk, at the very least be respectful. And that’s exactly what Aaron Greenberg has been in an interview with Major Nelson. Despite claiming the Microsoft show historic, he also mentions his thoughts on Sony’s press conference.

“A lot of people thought it was the best E3 we’ve ever had, I definitely think it was historic. We dreamed of opening with The Beatles and closing with Steven Spielberg and it happened.”

“E3, I think, returned to all it’s glory,” Greenberg continued. “[However], it was the first year in maybe five years that I couldn’t get to the Sony and Nintendo conferences.

“I watched on TV both of them in their entirety but yeah, it was insane. I sent one of my staff and he reported back and yeah, it was good, I thought they had a good show, I think Sony did a good job.

“I hope I don’t get in trouble for saying this, but I’m pretty open in that I own a PS3 and I play games on it: I’m a gamer.”

Well done Mr. Greenberg for rising above the bickering and saying something nice about the competition. At the end of the day Sony can improve by watching what Microsoft and Nintendo do, and vice versa. Competition is a good thing.

Eye Pet looks like it’s going to be massive fun for kids. Drawing objects, scanning them in and taking control of them within the game sounds really exciting. We can’t wait to see how people take to this game because it looks like enormous fun.

Jack Tretton Hates Leaks Even When They Ensure 100% More Media Coverage.

It was interesting hearing Sony’s chief exec bemoan the industry’s will to constantly leak important content. Given it was Sony’s own Qore application which leaked the first images of the PSP Go a weekend before E3, I’d almost certainly assumed the “leak” was intentional. No doubt such an important announcement lowered the implications of such an unveil during Sony’s press conference, but it also maximised exposure at a time when even the biggest stories aren’t quite guaranteed to take centre stage.

Sony’s Wand Technology Sent Out A Fierce Message To Competitors Hours After They Comfortably Assumed Victory – “Twiggy” The PushSquare Opinionator

Archery On The Playstation Motion Controller Looked Breathtaking.

Archery On The Playstation Motion Controller Looked Breathtaking.

You’ve been waiting to hear what I thought about E3 2009 and here it is: everyone did great; except Ubisoft. Seriously though, I thoroughly enjoyed Microsoft, Nintendo and, of course, Sony’s press conferences. They all had a little something to offer to whet the appetite. The Beatles: Rock Band was a perfect opener for Microsoft, which actually blew away any scepticism I had for that game. I think Metroid: Other M looks absolutely phenomenal. And as for Sony, well, I think their motion controller was the best example of a motion controller I’ve seen — including Project Natal and Wii Motion Plus.
