No Surprise Seeing Final Fantasy XIII Top The Charts Now Is It?
Final Fantasy XIII has shot straight to the top of the UK sales charts, with the PS3 version of the game managing 54% of the sales. Not the hugest of discrepancies between the SKUs, but it’s often rare a PS3 multiplatform game outsells its XBOX 360 rival – particularly when Microsoft have broken the metaphorical bank marketing the game exclusive to their platform.
Most exciting for us about this week’s chart is the position of Heavy Rain, still clutching tightly to the number four spot. Game’s not gonna sell right?

Battlefield: Bad Company 2's Topped The UK Sales Charts For The Week.
Heavy Rain’s affair with the number one spot of the British gaming charts is over (though it still sits at a respectable fourth place). Indeed, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has taken the top spot this week, with 31 per cent of the sales being accountable to the PS3 SKU.
SEGA got a double hit with Aliens vs Predator and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing occupying the third and fifth spot; and Ubisoft’s Just Dance is still at number two.

Apparently The British Public Like Them Some Aliens vs Predator.
Another week and another shooter has taken the crown from Ubisoft’s current Wii phenomenom, Just Dance. Amazingly for Rebellion, Aliens vs Predator has become the fastest-selling game in 2010, topping last week’s record holder, Bioshock 2 (now in third). Of course, they’re both gonna get crushed by Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Either way, big congrats to SEGA and Rebellion, though we do have an issue or two with the actual game.

Bioshock 2: "Unnecessary" But Apparently Still A Big Deal.
Apparently Bioshock is still a big deal, as Bioshock 2 has shot straight to the top of the UK charts, removing previous leader Mass Effect 2. Interestingly, after a slew of price-cuts (and perhaps that Playstation 3 patch), Bayonetta has re-entered the charts in number 10 (up from 36). Elsewhere, Fifa 10 and Modern Warfare 2 are still strong propositions.

Dante's Inferno Has Entered The UK Charts In Fourth Position.
Very little change this week in the UK’s all-formats chart, with Mass Effect 2 still holding the top-spot. Visceral Games’ reimagining of Dante’s Inferno entered fairly strongly at number four this week, knocking Sony’s MAG to a respectable seventh.
By the way, why did Ubisoft moan about Avatar’s sales? It’s been in the top ten for months now. Granted we’ve seen a few special offers on the game at various stores, but still, it looks like it’s done ok for them.
Top 20 is after the jump.

Da-Da-Dooo.
Can anyone think of any other songs aside from those by Lady GaGa that use the lyric “just dance” as a central theme? We’re racking our brains here in the PushSquare office but nothing’s coming. Answers on a postcard merci beaucoup.
Yep, if the overly obvious post-title didn’t give it away, we can confirm that Wii-title Just Dance has beaten Modern Warfare 2 to the UK charts top-spot for the second week running. The only real change on this week’s chart is the entry of Dark Void. It came in at number 33. Oooft.

There Are 3 Million Playstation 3s In British Homes.
It’s milestone time for SCEE, as they’ve just confirmed that 3 million Playstation 3s have been sold in the UK to date. There’s really not much else to say. As Brits ourselves, Sony’s efforts have very much been brushed under the carpet by the mainstream here; but still outstanding marketing, pricing and, just sheer brilliant exclusive games have really raised the appeal of the system.
Feels like Sony are on fire just now.
