This Is A Fallout Game Y'Know.
We know we’re going to get screamed at for this but, Fallout 3 is not a good looking game. And we’re going to assume that Fallout: New Vegas is going to look like ass too. Particularly after seeing this first batch of screenshots from CVG.
Will the game rock? Absolutely. Does it look like the most unappealing game ever based on its screenshots? Absolutely.

Yup, You Guessed It. This Is Fallout Alright.
AGB have a few scans from Fallout: New Vegas in the latest issue of PC Gamer. Unsurprisingly they look rather a lot like Fallout. We wished there was perhaps something more to get excited about here, but Fallout’s never been the strongest game visually and the scans aren’t much to crow home about.
Indeed, Fallout is all about the setting, and we’re sure we’ll be hearing more about the presumably haunted New Vegas pretty sharpish.

Fallout: New Vegas Now Feels Like An Actual, Real Product.
Bethesda’s just confirmed to us that Fallout: New Vegas will hit the Playstation 3 this Autumn. There’s not much on the actual game itself yet, but it has been confirmed that the Obsidian developed spin off will “take all the action, humor, and post-apocalyptic grime and grit of this legendary series, and raise the stakes.”
There’s a new trailer after the jump, and magazine blow-outs are promised next month.

Official Fallout: New Vegas Info Looks To Be On The Horizon.
A mysterious post on the GameSpot forums claims to have a host of leaked information about Bethesda’s upcoming Fallout: New Vegas. Of course, comment from the publisher is of the “no comment” variety, but that doesn’t stop these details looking any more solid.
Still the forum “leak” goes on a friend-of-a-friend basis, so take it as you will. According to the details posted though, the game will be revealed in an upcoming issue of GameInformer, and will feature multiple “character backgrounds” that will effect mission-types and perk abilities.
More through here.

Super-Stylised, Super Awesome.
There’s one thing you can ensure if you have Killzone 2’s producer working on your game: it’s going to look sensational. And Brink looks fucking unreal right now. The gameplay videos dropped after the jump show a hyper-stylised universe with some super-tight shooting. Gameplay-wise, the demo looks fairly standard fare, but that art-style is wonderful.
With Brink still about a year off, you should probably have high hopes for this one.

Brink Aims To Revolutionise The Traditional Single Player Campaign With Online Options.
We’re not huge multiplayer gamers. We enjoy it, but we’re not the type of people who can make a game’s multiplayer mode last a year or two. That’s just, meh. Still, there are a lot of gamers out there that don’t even touch a multiplayer mode. And those are the type of people Splash Damage want to convert with their innovative FPS Brink.
“It’s our goal from the outset to incidentally teach people to be good at multiplayer shooters while they’re playing our single-player shooter,” explains Splash Damage’s Paul Wedgwood. “At a certain point in the game we say to them, ‘Why don’t you just try co-op and see how you go? For this next mission we’re going to give you twice the number of experience points if you play co-operatively with somebody else.’”
It’s a top idea, and we’re interested to see how this game turns out. You’ve got to give Splash Damage kudos for shooting high.

Fallout 3 Took The Biggest Prize At The Golden Joysticks.
We’ve been very jealous today. While reading our surprisingly buoyant journo colleagues Tweets from sunny ol’ London, we’ve been sat here in the gloomy Midlands typing stuff. Still, DJ Hero did come in the post. Score.
Over in London though, a real party has kicked off as Fallout 3 won the annual Golden Joysticks “Ultimate Game Of The Year”. Over 1.2 million votes were cast in the awards, a massive 47% jump over last year.
On the Playstation front, Killzone 2 took home the crown for Playstation Game Of The Year, with LittleBigPlanet winning Family Game Of The Year. Well deserved on both fronts!
You can see the full list of winners after the jump.
