When it comes to super-obscure Japanese RPGs on Playstation 3, it seems like Demons Souls taught everyone a lesson: obscure as the games may be by nature, people still want to play them. Since its launch in the US, the Playstation 3 exclusive Demons Souls has become somewhat of a cult classic, requiring a reprint due to exceeding sales.

With Demons Souls having seen launch in the US a good few years back, From Software have since released 3D Dot Game Heroes, an homage to classic Legend Of Zelda titles. Recognising the importance of these titles worldwide, SCEE has today announced on the Playstation Blog that 3D Dot Game Heroes will see release in Europe.

The game’s due in May, and will be published by SouthPeak games exclusively for the Playstation 3. Consider us absolutely stoked.

The game launches in Japan next week and is, by all accounts, as awesome as it looks.
