Borderlands’ Secret Armory Of General Knoxx is a return to the form that made Borderlands a hit in the first place, but there are some balancing issues that make some of the encounters frustrating.

There's Even More Borderlands On The Horizon Folks.

It’s been out for roughly six months now, but we’re still talking about Borderlands. Why? Well mainly because it’s awesome, but partly because 2K keep committing to new content for the game.

Take-Two’s committed to even more content for the game with CEO Ben Feder stating, “We’ll continue to support the title with more digital content.”

That’s just swell Take Two.

Yay! More Borderlands DLC Is Incoming This Week!

Oh hell yes. We’re ready for more Borderlands – and that’s exactly what we’re going to get this week. Gearbox has announced that the latest pack, The Secret Armory Of General Knoxx, will launch on PSN this coming Thursday. That’s like, 2 days away guys!

It’ll cost $8.99 on the American store, so expect something like £7.99 here in the UK.

We’ll have a review of this shortly.

Would You Kindly Spend More Money On Bioshock 2?

There’s new DLC incoming for Bioshock 2. And while the first batch is totally all about the multiplayer, 2K’s promised there is single-player DLC incoming too. 2K described the “on-the-horizon” single-player pack as a means to provide “more narrative, new tools and new challenges that extend the lore and fiction of the failed Utopia under the sea”.

Awesome.

But let’s stick to the here and now. 2K’s announced a multiplayer pack for next month entitled the “Sinclair Solutions Test Pack”. It’ll cost £3.19 and will add the following to your Bioshock 2 multiplayer experience (ta VG247).

• Level cap increased in multiplayer to Level 50 with rank rewards
• New playable characters: Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
• 20 new trials
• A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
• Five additional masks

We dunno if you heard but, yo, Bioshock 2’s multiplayer is rad. So this is semi-tempting.

Apparently The British Public Like Them Some Aliens vs Predator.

Another week and another shooter has taken the crown from Ubisoft’s current Wii phenomenom, Just Dance. Amazingly for Rebellion, Aliens vs Predator has become the fastest-selling game in 2010, topping last week’s record holder, Bioshock 2 (now in third). Of course, they’re both gonna get crushed by Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Either way, big congrats to SEGA and Rebellion, though we do have an issue or two with the actual game.

Bioshock 2 on Playstation 3 Review.

By tweaking the gameplay for the better, Bioshock 2 is in many ways an improvement over the original. Those who’ve played the original game will find the return to Rapture less engaging second time around, but the secrets the world hordes should be enough to tempt any fan.

We Assume If This Game Sells Well You Can Expect A Bioshock 3.

Bioshock 2’s Michael Kamper has told CVG that there are many stories to be told in the franchise’s universe, mainly thanks to the uniqueness of Raptures setting.

“Rapture is probably one of the most unique places ever invented. I have to imagine that there are many stories that could be told within its walls.

“But right now we’re just focused on making a successful launch for BioShock 2.”

We’re playing through Bioshock 2 right now for review, and we can probably tell you at this stage that it’s not as terrible as your prejudice may have lead you to believe. In fact, it’s pretty darn good.
