Tales of Arise Special Livestream TGS 2023

Bandai Namco has revealed its plans for Tokyo Game Show 2023, which takes place from the 21st September. The publisher's bringing a bunch of its upcoming titles to the event, including Tekken 8, Blue Protocol, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, and Sand Land. But one game that isn't on the release schedule is 2021's Tales of Arise. The action RPG is actually fast approaching its second anniversary, and so Bandai Namco has decided to give it its own '2nd Anniversary Special Livestream' during TGS.

It's an intriguing proposition, because the company has been largely silent on its Tales series since Arise launched. There was some speculation surrounding a potential sequel not too long ago, when a trademark for 'Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn' was registered in Europe. But again, we've heard nothing since.

The official description for this livestream reads (as translated by Gematsu): "This livestream will look back on on the past two years with the cast, as well as introduce the latest information on the Tales of series." Hmmm.

Naturally, we're wondering whether there's going to be some kind of reveal here. Bandai Namco clearly has something that it wants to share, and TGS is a big stage for it. Certainly something to keep an eye on, especially if you're a Tales fan.

What do you make of this? Could a new Tales game be announced? What could be happening with Tales of Arise? Be sure to grip the burning blade in the comments section below.
