Rocket League Cross-Console PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Remember cross-console play? It was a hot button topic in the gaming industry for all of five minutes, until Sony announced a Fortnite beta and no one ever mentioned it again. Well, Rocket League is the second game to join the programme, meaning that from today, players on “PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam can now randomly matchmake with or against each other in all online match types”.

You can enable the feature in the ‘Options’ section from the main menu, but it’s turned on by default. Obviously if you only want to play with Sony folk, then you can toggle it off, too. Oh, and if you want to match with specific buddies on other systems, then you can create private matches to do so, but developer Psyonix is working on a more convenient cross-console party system that should roll out at some point later this year.
