Carrying on their coverage of Monster Hunter: World, Game Informer has released a fresh video that details the game's all-new training area. Designed to help settle newcomers, the training area allows you to test out all available weapon types and see what each armament is capable of -- complete with command lists so you can master combos and other special techniques. It's also got various objects to climb and traverse so that you can familiarise yourself with the general controls.
It all looks very nicely done, and will more than likely end up being yet another positive addition to Capcom's creature-slaying series. Will you be heading to the training area as soon as you snag a new weapon? Smash up some barrels in the comments section below.

This is encouraging for those of us with no experience in the series. If they can lower the barrier to entry for newcomers, this game is going to sell very well. I am definitely interested.
@Th3solution They say in the video that Capcom's really pushing to make this easy to pick up and get into, even if you've never played the series before. Always a big plus for a legacy-heavy title, same with fighting games, etc.
It's a good addition imo. I want learn some of the weapons as well before deciding on which to go for or main.
A lot of newcomers will be coming to the series so this is a great way to get them acclimated. On a side note I'm still not crazy about the weapon impact sound effects. Sounds like popcorn being made.
I've been watching some of the footage of this game and I like the concept, but was worried it would be an impenetrable mess of systems with a huge learning curve. This at least will give total newbies a fighting chance, and it makes me more inclined to give it a shot
Very nice!
Good idea, but I think it's better to test weapons while completing again and again some of the easiest missions, gaining rewards and collecting materials too.
I hope this can still be fun when playing solo!!
