Bluehole, the developer of runaway multiplayer success story PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, is in active discussions with Sony regarding a PlayStation 4 version of the game. Microsoft recently announced that it would be publishing the Xbox One edition of the title later this year, but it was always expected that a PS4 version would follow.

Now, in an interview with Bloomberg, founder Chang Byung-gyu has revealed that his firm is currently engaged in conversations with the Japanese giant to bring the Battle Royale-inspired experience to PlayStation. “Bluehole is in talks with Sony about introducing a version for the PlayStation after [Xbox],” the article explains.

It’ll be interesting to see how long this title remains tied to the Xbox One in the console space. Considering that Epic Games’ recently released Fortnite: Battle Royale has got off to a decent start on the PS4, it may convince Bluehole to expedite its plans for a PS4 port. Our guess is that you’ll be playing this with a DualShock 4 early next year.
