A turn based role-playing title that started life on Kickstarter, Battle Chasers: Nightwar has always looked really promising based on what we've seen of it. It's got cool characters, amazing sounding music, dungeon crawling, and a gorgeous art style. We've embedded one of its earlier trailers below if you want a better look.
Anyway, the game's coming to PlayStation 4 on the 3rd October. What do you make of Battle Chasers? Don't get lost in the trap-ridden dungeon that is the comments section below.

Loved reading the (shamefully short lived) comic as a kid, picking this up day one.
Wow! The music sounds fantastic. I love that art style too.
I'm on it.
Wow. Looks absolutely amazing.
Turnbased looking fantastic i cant wait. And its available retail.
beautiful looking graphics and sound can't wait!
Backed this as soon as it went up, I'm absolutely stoked to play it in October. Loved the comic and this looks like a nice high-quality continuation, it has Blizzard-level polish to it.
This looks great! Where's the UI though? During the fights I'd like to know what's going on, stats-wise.
@glassmusic
Looks like they've cut it out for the benefit of the video.
*edit: Just read these guys are made up of ex Darksiders developers. After recently discovering that awesome series I'm double hyped.
@kyleforrester87 I was hoping as much. Do you know if hit points appear above heads when attacks land? I hope I hope? Haha
@glassmusic You're in luck!!
(This looks like a temporary HUD though, probably from an old build??)
Terrible name but looks pretty great. This is now on my radar.
@kyleforrester87 Now we're cooking! I seriously can't wait for this game. It looks like it's going to scratch all the right itches.
I'm not a big "Turn Based" guy but might give this a try.
This looks terrific. Will probably get this on the Switch but im happy to finally get a release date!
looks niice hopefully it has a good story
Such an awesomely drawn comic book back in the 90s. Too bad it never completed. They're offering the latest issue as part of the Kickstarter campaign.
Even now, the designs don't look dated at all. Everything still looks luscious and beautiful. Joe Madureira rocks.
Lovely art style!
Hope the game has a proper ending, unlike the comic book series.
Loved the comic, love Joe's art.....and love turn-based, so a no brainer for me: day 1!
