At this point, we can probably safely say that Hideo Kojima has been given a blank cheque by Sony to make Death Stranding. The auteur not only has one of the most stylish indie game offices in the universe, but he's also busy snapping up hot Hollywood talent like Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen to star in the game. And one actress that's been perpetually linked with the project is Emma Stone.
Asked about those rumours at the Saudi Comic-Con, here's what Mikkelsen had to say: "I can't talk about that, but I really like that rumour. That's a lovely rumour."
Mikkelsen's clearly not giving much away, but Kojima has been hinting at Stone's involvement for months now. Way back in December he alluded to having met the La La Land star, who he's a big fan of. And only last month he posted an image of a female mannequin head wearing a Lionsgate beanie, the production company involved with the aforementioned musical.
Stone obviously won't be cheap, but Death Stranding definitely seems to have an extravagant budget attached to it, so it's probably something Kojima could afford. More to the point he's spoken earnestly about wanting to improve the female characters in his future games, and Emma's not exactly averse to video games – she had a brief cameo in Sleeping Dogs, after all.

I hope not it's a computer game and i'm ignorant enough to not have a clue who this person is, I hate celebrity's What's the difference anyway? You can only hear her voice and I bet (being a celebrity) she want's $1000 dollar's an hour. I'd rather that money be spent making the game better and just get some randomer who's good at voice acting to do it, they would probably really apprecite the job and probably need's the money more anyway, i've never understood the need for expensive voice actor's, it's just a voice.
@Rudy_Manchego Given Kojima's budget, I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up writing the game's official theme song.

@xMEADx I'm not sure I agree actually. Getting a good actor in can be the difference in some cases. I mean people take issue with the story in Beyond: Two Souls, but Ellen Page's performance alone was lightyears better than anything you see in Heavy Rain, for example.
Also, it's safe to assume Emma Stones' likeness would be used in the game much like Reedus and Mads. It'd literally be her.
She's a good actress, I reckon she'd be worth the dollar if they can afford her.
@get2sammyb i'm not sure any actor is worth the dolla they don't actualy act it's only a voice, there's probably a zillion people that can do as well as her voice acting at like a tenth of the price, this is just a marketing move really some people will be more inclined to buy the game with famous people in it. Personaly for me hearing celebrity voice's in game is a real put off, however I am super excited for the game like @Kyleforrester89 said I hope its good and i'm looking forward to hearing new's about it, just not this kind of new's. I do appreciate though that you have to run these article's, some people will be interested and excited about this.
Love me some Emma stone she is so hot. This doesn't add any more excitement to the game however. Meaning I'm already juiced to play this game her being in it adds nothing more to it. Unless they digitally add her in the buff then my pervy side would be satisfied (and millions of others)! I kid I kid

@get2sammyb I still think Taylor Swift is a closet psychopath with the way she chews through men and then writes a song about each that always has a little psycho twist to it. Its actually quite creepy.
But, I'm sure Kojima-san, amazing film director and producer that he is, could get Emma Stone.
Because lets face it, even at their most "Gameplay heavy" his games have 20 minute cutscenes, and at their worst they have ones that equal feature length movies.
Still think Death Stranding is a movie. Honestly the way its presented I kind of think it would make a very GOOD movie.
Kojima seems to be going a bit overboard with all the big actors in this game. I think Yakuza 6 did big actors very well and they actually fit in very nicely with what the game was doing. While this seems to be more famous actors for famous actors sake. Obviously I can't speak on the quality of the game until we actually see and play it, and Metal Gear is one of my favorite series in gaming so I trust Kojima, but I'm feeling a bit worried at this point.
It sounds believable. Kojima is doing a great job getting a cast together for the game. Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Emma Stone is a good line-up.
