Pick the Right Final Fantasy XV Special Edition for You

Tried to get the ultimate collectors edition on the EU store, had it go down for half an hour, then not have it anyway.. sigh, they even had a french translator at the event, so it's not like they don't recognise they have a large EU playerbase..

how do i preorder the collectors in the uk, it's not on the eu site?

Already have it ordered on Amazon for $59.99, will have to think about $89. If Amazon gives me 20% off for Prime I'm there, not sure how that works with special editions. Wouldn't mind a bundle though, but that might be a $600 package.

I'm trying to order from the UK and nothing shows up in the store pages.
Why say 30,000 available "worldwide" if it's clearly only available in the US.

Wow no million dollar edition like saints row and dying light? I expected a FFXV volkswagon with a final fantasy sword collection in the trunk, and a final fantasy movie guest star role and anime character VA role, and a perfume nomaru believes is how lightnings armpits smell.

Still waiting on the EU Store to show it. And I'm waiting on the Platinum Demo!

@viciousarcanum yea i no which sucks the fan base in New Zealand is huge I've got mate that would sell their cars to get but Au only has digital downloads

@viciousarcanum As far as I can tell even Japan don't have it yet, it's only available in NA, really strange.

@Rodin @Omega_Tron87 square don't seem to learn, catering to just one specific crowd despite addressing the general populace is shabby, what's even dumber is how much they're partnering up with Microsoft as there is both an xbox one exclusive controller and an FFXV limited edition xbox one console

They're up on the eu site but everytime I click pre-order it goes to an empty bag

@Grawlog At least one, thanks for the heads up. Clicked through the link in this article, and was kind of gobsmacked to think that they'd sold through all 30,000 copies of a >$200 edition in under an hour. I suppose if it's split between Sony and MS, and maybe by region, that's only 5-10,000 they've sold through.

I will get the Deluxe Edition. I want the expensive one but it is way out of my financial capabilities. Still no preorders in local shops.

I'm liking the Royal Raiment outfit. Looks like the suit Noctis worn back in FFversusXIII.

EDIT: i asked Square Enix EU on Twitter about it and they confirmed the Deluxe Edition WILL becoming to other retailers, it's just not live yet

I guess I'm just getting the Deluxe Edition, cuz there's no way in hell I'm paying $270 for the collectors edition.

I did I dont usually buy the CE only one for ps4 I have is farcry primal. But the play arts figure's are great which sold it for me.

Got deluxe on amazon just now! Those wanting one its live here in the states. Did a se store pre order 20 mins ago so I had to cancel that lol. Gotta love prime discount!

It looks like there is two anime? Kingsglaive and brotherhood? Can you buy those else where? If so I'm skipping and just getting standard. Can't stomach the thought on spending $90 on a game that could be horrible. After Lightning: Barbie Fashionista Edition, Square needs to prove Final Fantasy is great again, to warrant $60.

@Ellysetta19 Kingsglaive's a full feature CGI movie whereas Brotherhood are five 10 minutes anime episodes which you can watch via YouTube. I have a feeling the former would be available separately at some point, though.

ill buy the ultimate edition, I don't buy Collectors editions all the time, but they are always worth it for me.

@WanderingBullet Thanks for the info. It prompted me to take a deeper look. So the movie looks good and amazon 20% off pushed me to the deluxe edition. If its a bad game it'll be only $17 more, hope it's as good as it is pretty.

Limiting the edition to 30,000 means you are getting people who have no interest in the game buying up the copies then sticking them on ebay for double or triple the original price.

@Anguspuss I hope you like it, man. Considering how pricy the Play Arts figures can be, I wouldn't be surprised if that jacked up the price.

The price is actually why I said what I said. At $200+, I don't think too many would get it even if they wanted it. I'm kinda tempted by it myself, but that would break my bank account.

Meanwhile, the Japanese online store seems to be overloaded since pre-order launch. I don't think I will be able to get the ultimate edition, but at least I will get the deluxe one.

That art book is beautiful and definatley worth it. Not sure about the other one. Way more than I would ever spend on one game.

I would have traded the Noctis figurine for a Noctis (or Ignis) body pillow.

I think the Ultimate edition is overpriced. The two BDs will be about £10 each, I got a FFVII Play Arts Kai figure for about £20*. Bearing in mind that everything other than the game must be worth £160ish to be worth it, that must be some insanely expensive DLC.

• To be fair, I checked on Hobby Search and a Prompto figure (also Play Arts Kai) is £68. Still, you're looking at £92 for two BDs, a book and some digital content.
