It certainly seems like Bethesda is expanding as a developer if creative director Todd Howard's words during a DICE talk are to be believed. According to the always enthusiastic boss, the studio is currently working on three unannounced projects.

Admittedly, Howard doesn't go into much detail, but he does say that the games are "longer-term projects", and that they're "different from anything we have done before, while also being Bethesda-style games". To us, that sounds as though these titles won't have much to do with Fallout or The Elder Scrolls, but they may well stick to the company's open world template.

Howard goes on to say that more will be revealed once the team's done supporting Fallout 4 - a game that's still very much the main priority for Bethesda right now, especially as it begins rolling out the release's downloadable content starting next month.

Whatever these mystery projects turn out to be, it's going to be interesting to see what the developer comes up with. After all, at this point it's actually quite difficult to picture a Bethesda game that doesn't come attached to the studio's aforementioned popular properties.

If you've got the time, the embedded video of Howard's talk gives some enjoyable insight into the company and its workings - just be sure to let us know what you think of this reasonably surprising news in the comments section below.
