If you're eager to get an early look at upcoming action role-playing game remake Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, then you may be happy to know that a demo for the release will be available tomorrow on the Japanese PlayStation Store. Naturally, those of you who have a Japanese PSN account will be able to nab it.
The download sounds pretty cool, too. You'll be able to sample all five playable characters as you hack and slash your way through a specially designed demo stage which ends with a nice big boss fight.
The game itself is due out in Japan next week on the 14th January, and it's supposedly heading West later this year. Will you be giving it a try? Look your best in the comments section below.

Darn, I had a Japanese account on my old PS3 but forgot my password
Game looks gorgeous, absolutely stunning!
"and it's supposedly heading West later this year."
April 12 for north america according to amazon.
@sonicmeerkat Hmmmmm. Bit soon for my money, but then again, I'm used to us Europeans getting Atlus games approximately 18,000 years after they release in Japan.
@ShogunRok no no no north america not Europe, atlus banned Europe from their games for forcing them to rename nocturne.
@sonicmeerkat No sorry, I mean I'm just used to waiting an eternity for Atlus games, so I'm not sure if that's altering my perception of how long they usually take to come to North America.
Also, I'm not surprised! What were they thinking.
@sonicmeerkat I dont like atlus they dont bring out anything here when is the persona 5 release date.....
@ShogunRok Well in this case its a remake of a game they published 10 years or so ago so perhaps the script might not need too many touch ups.
Heh yeah what was it changed to devil mania or something goofy?
Wish I had a Japanese account, loved Dragons Crown.
@sonicmeerkat I believe it was something like Lucifer's Call. Terrible.
This does look brilliant.
Never played it on PS2 but I'm a big fan of Muramasa and Dragon's Crown so this is on my to-buy list whenever it reaches North American shores.
@sonicmeerkat
Maybe Square Enix will publish it in Europe
Will it be on the Hong Kong store? I'm sure I have a Japanese account too so will have to search for the password
just finished the demo...it's pretty to watch and fun to play. For the limited time I played, the white haired guy with the red lightsaber is my fave.
.
@sonicmeerkat The release date's June 7th.
I'm really looking forward to this! Really enjoyed Muramasa.
