B-movie bug busters Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair and Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space are looking to be released on 12th February in Europe.
Earth Defence Force 2 will be hitting Vita consoles in Europe, which is considered a late release since it was distributed in North America during Autumn time last year, while Earth Defense Force 4.1 will be released on PlayStation 4 after being announced during the Sony 2014 pre-Tokyo Game Show event and then being circulated in Japan and North America last year
When the games are released, mid-February, Earth Defense Force 2 will be priced at approximately £30, whereas Earth Defence 4.1 is entitled to a hefty approximation of £45. However, for the exact same price over at Rice Digital, you can purchase the game along with a limited edition t-shirt featuring an Earth Defense emblem.

It honestly doesn't look like the best type of game out there, but at the same time it looks like one of those semi-simplistic games which are just full action and destruction.

I already imported my copy 4.1. It's absolutely amazing and one of the very few shooters that even I enjoy.
I like the idea of the edf games but I've never taken the plunge. I think I'm still on the fence with this game might wait for a sale to try it out .
Its hard to recommend edf, the games are playable enough but similar to musuo games you can plough through them with no real skill involved. The big disadvantage edf has to a musuo game is the basis and lore of the games is wafer thin whereas in tecmo games your taking over china or saving the world in Gundam with that backstory. In edf your a dude in a suit fighting waves of moronic ants which mean nothing to no one.
These games are hilarious and couch co-op is a blast and something we don't get enough of. I will throw my money at this, laugh at how bad it is and have a great time playing it! It's the Commando of video games.
@mrobinson91 The graphics are slightly outdated (though it's not as awful than Godzilla's) but the gameplay is a blast.
