Well, after a weekend of broken dreams for many, it seems as though everyone should now finally be able to download the latest patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Most of us here at Push Square Towers managed to nab the update back on Friday night, but countless other PlayStation 4 users weren't so lucky.
It's still unclear what the actual distribution problem was, but we'd assume that it was just some sort of network cock-up. In any case, CD Projekt Red says that it should now be available to download no matter what region you're in, so prepare to get hyped for those weightless crafting components.

I don't know if I want to download it with all the reported problems the patch has apparently been causing.
@stevie85 Same, I've heard it's bugged a few quests which prevent you from finishing said quests, along with bogging the frame rate down. I think I'll just wait for 1.08 to play again.
Yeah I think I will hold off until then. Pity as I was really hoping to play some more.
Framerate looks better, game runs smoother and I've seen a lot fewer bugs than before. Patch is working out great for me.
it took a while, like a night anf a day.... and stopped at 96 % for a few hours...but got it at last.....don't know yet if it makes things better ..playing GOW now lol
@stevie85 Really? The only thing I've heard problems-wise is the DF guys report on frame rate, which from what I remember didn't actually mention much change in the PS4 version and was more talking about how the XB1 version had come down to the same levels as PS4. Everywhere else I've seen has been pretty happy that the patch changed things for the best for the most part.
I've not played it yet, so I won't notice either way haha!
Quest Glitches is what I'm worried about more so. The framerate was never that big an issue for me.
@JesWood13 @stevie85 For what it's worth, my game's never ran smoother, and the additions are well worth downloading it anyway, in my opinion. Obviously can't say the same for you guys, but it may still be worth a try.
I'm downloading it right now. I can't wait. I am dying to play it again. I'm weak lol.
@ShogunRok I'm currently downloading, so I'll give it a shot when it's finished. I'm still nowhere close to beating the game, haha. I'm on Skellige now, but I went back to the main lands to mop up some quests I left undone.
@JesWood13 the game lets you know pretty clearly when you get to the point where you can't go back, if that's any help.
Not saying any more than that though.

The new patch is great, movement and visuals much smoother. Lovely inventory system and "dirty funds" fixed. Thank you CD Projeckt......don't mind the haters.
SCEE undoubtedly screwed up the distribution.

Played in Novigrad and Skellige with no slowdowns. Game runs fine.
Has anyone else noticed that you cant earn trophies on PS4 after installing the patch??
Patch finally downloaded... New control scheme is nice! And that book tab... My word how useful!!
