Dying Light may be extraordinarily late rising from its grave, but that hasn't stopped the Techland developed title from making an assault on the UK sales charts. The frightening free-runner brushed aside previous best seller The Order: 1886, which slipped all the way into fourth. Given the PlayStation 4 release's short running time and mixed word of mouth, that's hardly a surprise.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare stuck around in second, while the brilliant Dragon Ball XenoVerse punched its way valiantly into third. The remainder of the top ten painted a familiar picture, with Grand Theft Auto V, FIFA 15, Far Cry 4, and Minecraft all making up the numbers. Meanwhile, The Last of Us Remastered soared back into 15th position due to various retailer promotions.
Less successful was the niche Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, which debuted in 23rd place. Wolfenstein: The New Order and DriveClub finished not far behind, after price promotions propelled them both back into the Top 40. As always, you can peruse the full list of movers and shakers through here. What's been keeping your wallet light of late? Cough up in the comments section below.

Rightly so, i enjoyed The Order tremendously despite what critics say but Dying Light was so much better than I thought it would be. working on platinum right now! Good work Techland!
I've really enjoyed dying light and its quite easy to pick up and play, I'll be enjoying it for a good month at least until dark souls arrives.
A 53% drop for The Order, not too good but they're still at 4th place so that's decent.
I'm waiting out until Bloodborne, absolutely can't wait to play it.
Shame! I loved the order
I think even if it was the best game ever made, the sales were always going to be frontloaded. It's a worrying trend, but unless single player games are crammed with side quests and collectibles, then the harsh reality is that people are just going to trade them straight back in.
@get2sammyb Considering that The Order topped the charts in Australia and did well in it's first week in Japan, I think it will do enough to be a solid hit, plus I can see it re entering the charts often through sales.
@adf86 But what its enough to be a solid hit ? RE6 sold about 6 millions and it didnt meet their sales projections. that wasnt a solid hit and it sold 6 millions
Im pretty sure Sony has high hopes for this games, those fancy graphics cost quite a bit of money
Sammy its not just about side content has to have a decent story. Too many games on next gen are focusing on graphics; they are missing key gameplay and story. If you look at games from ps1/2 they didn't have the capability for top end graphics however the gameplay was top notch. A 8 hour game won't work unless its targeting casual gamers. I pretty game game a lot and want a decent return on my investment I don't want pretty; as much as its nice to look at there has to be more substance
@Faruko Except Resi 6 was a multiplatform title from a well established franchise. Sony will have had a more realistic expectation in it's sales expectation. This was also a time when some Japanese companies had serious unrealistic sales numbers (Square Enix with Tomb Raider etc)
