Before the game's horrendous online issues, DriveClub was forced to face serious criticism for its decision to run at 30 frames-per-second. It's a conversation that doesn't pop up quite so often anymore, and this video of a forthcoming vehicle moving at 242MPH perhaps evidences why – the sense of speed is terrifying.
There's no word on what the car in question actually is yet, but it'll apparently be added to the exclusive later this month. We have to say, between implementing new vehicles, events, and features, the post-launch support for Evolution Studios' racer has been excellent – it always feels like there's something new to do, even several months since its release.

I bought this game the other day, based on all the "its so awesome now, get it!" and its not bad. It is a little too sim, and not enough arcade, but its an enjoyable ride. Most of its multiplayer/online component is seemless, just challenges that show up on solo races, or challenges you can complete solo, which is just how I like it.
Don't think I blinked while watching that.
Driveclub being a rock solid 30fps hasn't damaged the game at all, also the overall sense of speed in Driveclub is excellent. What people forget is is game's last gen (PS3/360) could hardly maintain a rock solid frame rate, most game's last gen where under 30fps, (digital foundry is proof of that).
@thedevilsjester it was too sim for me, I entered 4 online races and 3 of which decided I couldn't communicate with the other players or w/e. 55 mbps I guess isn't good enough.
@ShogunRok Lol
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi playing real multiplayer (online or couch) in a game thats as sim as DriveClub is just boring. Chances are you wont see another soul during the majority of the race, unless you are all so perfectly matched that you are neck and neck. So you are more or less playing solo anyway. Arcade racers (especially like Split/Second and Blur) are different in this, and its why they are so fun.
@thedevilsjester I loved Split/Second, I hope they make a sequel for it for the current gen.
@Deadstanley the single player is great, and the challenges (club or otherwise) are most often done/doable, solo, on your own time. You race against ghosts or you drift further than someone else did on that same turn, or you have a higher average speed over a section. I havent encountered a challenge that couldnt be done solo. If you want to do any club challenges you just have to be part of a club. (They are small, 5 person clubs). If you want to join one that doesnt really care if or when you play, you are free to join mine (psn name thedevilsjester), I just set it up to get the club exclusive cars and trophies, and have a schedule like you, where i never know when or how long I can play. Just send me a msg if you ever get it.
It's funny how opinions differ, for me it isn't sim enough..
I only play this game for the online time trial challenges. Yesterday I got 2nd place out of 398 which was pretty awesome (took me almost an hour though haha)
@thedevilsjester I started the race with some poxy car, everyone else had a half decent recent, I got left behind and gave up, the whole experience was crap, no patience for it. I'll just wait until its free on PS plus and hopefully by then it might run properly, I was stupid enough to this k it was fixed.
Fantastic game....great handling
@thedevilsjester You are wrong. I play DC all the time and see plenty of people whilst racing. I place 1st and last place and see people all the time.
@WARDIE I have never seen anyone on sim racers online including DC. I am either much better than them and sit in 1st the whole time, never seeing another driver, or they are much better than me and I struggle to keep up, never seeing another soul. Even when I am the same skill as them, one small crash and i am at the back of the pack, lonely agaIn. I have been playing racers online since the Dreamcast, and sim racers, online, are lonely.
I heard turbo noises. Maybe a tuned GT-R?
I still find online not working 9 out of 10 times, so frustrating, especially when you read that it is now largely fixed. It's a good game but a little soulless
