It seems a bit strange to be getting excited over a 10 per cent discount weekend, but this is the first time that Sony's ever run anything like this on the PlayStation Store, and we'd hazard that if it's a success, it may do another one in the future – hopefully without any further PlayStation Network outages.
The promotion – which will be available from 09:00AM local time on 23rd January through until 09:00AM local time on 26th January – entitles you to money off an entire checkout's worth of content, meaning that you can save on multiple games, as long as you purchase them all in one swift swoop.
A few reminders: PlayStation Plus subscriptions, Music Unlimited memberships, video rentals, and pre-orders don't apply. Everything else appears to be game, though, but we'll update if any issues arise over the coming days. What do you need to do to claim the voucher, then? Let's get stuck in, shall we?
1. Go to the PlayStation Store
Well, duh. Before you get started, you're going to need to take a trip to the PlayStation Store. You can apply the voucher code using the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 plazas, but you'll need to use Sony's browser-based webstore if you want to obtain the discount on Vita games. This is also true if you intend to buy content across all three platforms.
2. Add to Basket
The next stage is to add goods to your shopping cart. The process here remains the same regardless of which version of the PlayStation Store you're using; simply search or browse for the items that you want, and add them to your basket. You can have up to ten items in your cart at once, and remember: the more that you spend, the more that you'll save.
3. Apply the Discount
When you've shopped so much that you fear that you're about to drop, head to the checkout. On the PS4 or PS3, click the 'Cart' button at the top of the screen, and a list of everything that's in your basket will appear. To the right, you'll see an 'Enter the Discount Code' button. When given the opportunity, type in the corresponding code for your territory to obtain your saving. You can enter this as part of the checkout process on the webstore.

Now you just need to complete the transaction by using a PSN voucher, PayPal, credit/debit card, or another payment method, and download your goods. Pretty simple, huh? Do let us know if you have any problems in the comments section below, though.

Go my game of thrones, new tomb raider and never alone £25 bargain.
@NEOTDS Nice picks! Enjoy!
I only have eyes for Resident Evil PS4.
Bull**** compensation for the Christmas outage. Even more Bull**** is we only have 3 days use the codes. Lastly utter Bull**** that can't use on pre-orders.
Please can you take that kind of language elsewhere, thank you! - get2sammyb
Never Alone on PS4 and Minutes for Vita just over £9. Mustn't grumble!
They had originally said on the PlayStation blog that pre-orders could have the coupon applied to them, what happened to that?
not going to buy stuff I wasn't planning to just to get 1-2 euros discount lol. Got REmake and thats it.
I got the telltale games first day of discount damn
@NFNM They backtracked, unfortunately.
Anyone who buy's anything this weekend with this 10% off joke is playing straight into Sony's hands. To make use of our compensation over the xmas joke we have to put EVEN MORE money in Sony's pockets (and this helps Sony compensate themselves for the money they lost over xmas) and lets face it you have to spend it in the PS store which is stupidly overpriced anyway (£49.99 for Far Cry 4 on my sons PS slim, I mean really its on a machine that is last gen) so your not getting compensated at all its just sony trying to make back some of the money they lost over xmas and making the consumer look like, well a mug. Sony suck.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I preordered this when I saw that it wasn't going to be on sale at launch. Kiiiinda regretting that, though I guess I'm only out two bucks.
United States' code is up. KF56EM4KB3 just used it to order Back to the Future from Telltale games for PS3 & Saints Row IV + Gat out of Hell combo for PS4.
Added in the USA and Latin America, thanks @vegeta11. Does anyone know if it's a different code for Canada? Can't see anything.
I got myself Machinarium for the Vita, the flow expansion pack for ps4, and vib ribbon which will be mainly on ps3 for a little over a tenner (though the means I did pay for it are quite different) - quite the variety I must say!
Idk what to use it on lol
Does the 10% apply to all games? So I can use the 10% discount more than once?
It wouldn't let me buy more than $150 of stuff, I deserved more falls over dead
Great! Thanks!
Saved like 80 cents on two of the flash sale games plus the promo code. If it wasn't for the flash sale, I'd have gotten nothing. Sony should have just given everyone like $5 credit
Why not on preorders?
@iGaymerGuyJudas From my understanding, it can only be used once, but works on all games (expect pre-orders) and DLC you have in your cart when you use it.
Just used mine. Got £3.12 off, which I'm happy with. Bought Resident Evil, The Bureau, and Tales from the Borderlands. Process was slick; hope Sony do this again.
I was going to buy Resident Evil, but then I thought that would probably go down in price at some point, plus I fancy playing the Gamecube version for nostalgic purposes first. Then I thought I would pick up GoT and TFtB, but then realised that ALL Telltale games go down in price drastically, so I just bought the Bioshock Infinite DLC. I was going to get them anyway, but I saved 83p.
I used mine on the first Corpse Party game for PSP/Vita. I was actually planning on getting it anyways, so I'm not going to complain about getting 10% off
So I basically didnt get anything from this at all. Already had RE, and wanted Dying Light but naturally they dont want anyone to get money off a new release like that.
