Outrunning a psychotic serial killer clown ain’t easy – but try doing it while you’ve only got a towel to cover your modesty. That’s the predicament that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere faces in PlayStation 4 exclusive Until Dawn, as she tugs at the bathrobe to prevent it from falling down. Yes, it’s pretty pandering and almost offensively cliché – but that’s kind of the point.
See, the Supermassive Games developed survive-‘em-up is not meant to be taken seriously, as this editor has stressed on numerous occasions. The title’s targeting a b-movie vibe, and it genuinely feels like the kind of game that David Cage would make – if he wasn’t always up his own arse. We’re really looking forward to the sheer stupidity of this escapade. The question is: are you, too?

RUN! He's gonna get you!
Game looks fun to play through, but with no replayability it would be a tough buy.
@wittypixel You could have a serious playthrough, and one where you try and get everyone killed! I would also recommend playing this type of game with other people, with everyone shouting out what to do.
@wittypixel As @kupo said, I think it'll depend on how different the endings are. If the story changes a fair bit, there might be plenty of opportunity to play through two or three times, which would give it plenty of replay value.
@wittypixel Well the dude at the Game Awards said that each play through is a unique experience so..
But I love TellTales games so I may like this, I actually can't wait for this.
I reallllly hope it's good. I love classic slasher movies I have high hopes.
Do you only play as Hayden Panettiere's character?
I would prefer if you played as more then one and if someone dies the game keeps going regardless like Heavy Rain.
@get2sammyb @XFsWorld Heavy Rain had that kinda adaptable story as well, I guess I've never been the type replay story's much. I'll just find a friend who bought it lol #cheapoFTW
@Splat I believe you do keep playing and the whole point is your characters will die, it is who is left at the end that matters.
"It genuinely feels like the kind of game that David Cage would make – if he wasn’t always up his own arse." YES!
@Mrskinner @Splat No, there are eight or nine characters I believe. The demo I played earlier in the year had two completely different characters, who were looking for Hayden Panettierre. Now we know why...
I know if all my friends were being murdered in the woods that I'd be relaxing in a hot tub, too...
seriously though, I'm looking forward to playing through this game a few times and seeing what it has to offer. The B movie-ness does not bother me in the least.
Looks awesome, it's basically a video game version of all them cheap films on the Horror Channel.
