Sony may be on cloud nine in terms of PlayStation 4 hardware sales right now, but its servers have seemed a teensy bit shaky ever since its network got DDoS attacked earlier in the year. Fortunately, there have been no major outages of kinds, but today’s batch of big releases have brought proceedings to a crawl for some North American gamers.
Worry not, though, because the firm’s got engineers actively investigating issues with DriveClub and NBA 2K15, while it’s also responding to Destiny errors as well. We suppose that no issues at all would be ideal, but at the very least, we can be thankful that the company’s responding to the complaints quickly. We wonder what it looks like in the Japanese giant’s central server hub these days.

I have had SOME issues with PSN but not many and I play a lot of ps4 games on line, I also however own an Xbox one and the Titanfall servers for example are terrible and disconnect constantly so every cloud and all that lol.
That photo is awesome!
Still no DriveClub PS Plus from what I can tell and on the NA blog, not a peep from Sony to people asking about it. Pathetic customer service. Quite a poor showing today regarding that game. Hopefully on Nov. 18 LBP 3 will wipe the stain of DriveClub away. That's the last shot for PS exclusives this year.
I thought DriveClub wasn't available until Friday? Or is that just the EU?
@RawShark
The NA store updates on Tuesdays, this would be the day to expect it and Sony never suggested anything to the contrary.
As I say, I don't know about NA, but here in the EU our store updates a day later, but it was confirmed last week that the DriveClub Plus download would be available from Friday.
To be honest, given all your negative feedback on the game on the other board, I'd figured you'd already started playing it.
@RawShark
The only negativity there has ever been from me is regarding the way Sony has handled this game from the beginning and some of the stuff that I've read is missing for the game. When I play it, I'll give it a fair chance to surprise me and if it's good enough, the $50 upgrade will be purchased. Unfortunately, I can't test it because a certain company is having issues delivering on its promises.
I can honestly say i dont remember ever being as frustrated with sony as i am today. Its not because the driveclub + edition is missing, its the complete and utter lack of communication. If its not today, fine, but let us know and i wouldnt care. I love sony, love their gaming systems, waited in line for the ps2 as a teenager, the ps3 as a young adult, and for the ps4 as well all the while defending the majority of their issues like it was my own child. The lack of communication is really where i draw the line in the sand. They could have said hours ago "ps+ driveclub delayed x days, weeks" and i would have been fine. But the crickets are deafening.
@BigDaddyT0101
Unfortunately, Sony doesn't care about you, me or anybody else whose done the same thing. That's why I never feel bad at all about trashing these companies when its deserved. In this day and age it takes two seconds to get on Twitter and say something. It takes two seconds to respond on the f'ing blog and make a post. But no, can't bothered to do that apparently.
@BigDaddyT0101 You just wrote my post for me, verbatim! Thank you kind sir! 👍
...and furthermore; what really aggravates me even more when I think about it, is the fact that this was the first day in a while that I was looking forward to getting off work all day, getting home, and getting on the game for once.. Smh
@Fenriswolf- glad i could be of some help.
Why do I feel Sony aren't investing enough money into servers? I think even they are surprised/taken back by the success of PS4 and therefore PS+ uptake. I wonder if that is having a strain on their server farms? It certainly feels like it sometimes...
Still can't download the ps plus edition. And now it says the full price edition is unavailable to purchase. But the reduced price option is still up. Come on sony. Get it together
@Gamer83 Ah it looks like Sony have broken their silence:

Funny how PSN can survive the biggest ever launch of a new IP (Destiny) relatively unscathed but it's big first party launch all goes wrong. It's times like these I'm thankful I don't work for Sony's PR department, what with the service issues and the reviews for DC being more mixed than we'd all have liked. There's not a huge amount going on with exclusives in the run up toward Christmas either - LBP3 looks like it will be a worthwhile addition to the series, but I doubt it will set the world on fire or revolutionise the series.
But hey, it's not like things are any better on the other side of the fence. TItanfall wasn't the game changer or killer app that Microsoft were hoping it would be, and while reviews for Forza were very positive it still didn't breach the all important metascore of 90 and above. (The distinctively last gen Pinball FX and Rayman Legends are still the only games to have done so). And in terms of big upcoming exclusives, all their hopes are being posted on Sunset Overdrive (from the team who've done absolutely nothing of note since Resistance 3 in 2011). There's the Halo remakes, but I'm not really enthused about playing updated versions of decade old games. This isn't me saying one console is neccessarily better than the other, I'm just saying it how it is.
But one thing I can say for Microsoft is that they don't seem to have a weekly panic regarding their online services like Sony do. It's definitely an area Sony need to improve upon.
Hello guys,
If you have errors or crashes in NBA 2k15 try fixing them with this tutorial on gamespot, it worked for my game and now i can play it.

@RawShark
I'll take a steady flow of 80-89 rated games over extended waits for 90+ games. It'd be nice if every single release that hits was 90+ but for that's not the end all be all for a console. I had an N64 back in the day and while it was great when a Nintendo or Rare release eventually made their way to shelves, in between it was months upon months, sometimes nearly up to a year of waiting, for a truly great experience. Meanwhile I was looking at my friends who had the PSone with jealousy because while it may not have been getting those 95+ masterpieces all the time, there were plenty 80-85 to keep them busy. The PS4 does have inFamous and MLB The Show and there's no doubt in my mind that with the studios it has that once the ball gets rolling it'll be fun times just like all the previous PS consoles. But in this first year, MS is winning the exclusive battle. Titanfall isn't a game-changer but it is a great game, same can be said for both Forza games, I'd argue Horizon 2 should be a 90+ game but I also think it's getting harder to reach that mark these days, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Of course, and I'm guilty of this too, I think we all put a bit too much into numbers. Too many times people don't read the text and just skip right to the number and if it's a 70, the game sucks. Like Killzone for example, certainly Shadow Fall is not a must-own system seller but I do think if you're somebody who enjoys FPS, especially multiplayer, it's worth playing at least, but most people just look at the 72 or 73 meta score and go 'it sucks.' That's just plain stupid and I don't really remember people having that kind of mentality until the last gen started.
As far as the online services go, I find it extremely frustrating that PSN has as many issues as it does. It's not that I'm not used to it, PS3 had problems too, but it's a paid for service now. 90% of people will defend it and use the "XBL has problems to you know?" excuse. That's a duh statement, every service will have issues but XBL does not have near the problems PSN does that's the cold, hard truth. Hell, Nintendo network is more stable. It's somtething Sony needs to shape up on but doesn't have to because the PS fanbase loves to stick its collective head in the sand and act like everything is fine and you're 'entitled' or 'spoiled' or whatever other idiotic phrase they want to use when you ask for fixes. $50 a year I pay for the service, sorry for having some expectations.
@Gamer83 That is very true - the PS3/360 generation was the first one where "meta" scores came a thing and it's still an ugly presence, and like you I'm guilty of paying to much attention to that rotten website. It's gone way too far - when developers don't get bonuses because they missed out on a weighted score of 85 by one point you have to say it's counter productive. People should make their own minds up. Killzone is a good example because I've been enjoying it a lot since it's release. I kind of put that down to me not being a huge FPS player and my standards being lower than, for example, a Battlefield fan, but it makes no difference to me.
The exclusive showdown is very much up for debate, but in terms of the flagship racer category, yeah you have to give the nod to Forza. I'm weird though - the one game I want which is Xbox exclusive is Ori, which has next to no buzz around it. Go figure.
Let's hope Sony can sort out their server issues - they'll bloody well need a strong service if they ever want PS Now to take off. Not to mention people won't want to keep paying for online services if they don't work. I agree the current level of service isn't really acceptable - It's not like they haven't had a whole effing year to prepare for this! I think they might need to consider some kind of goodwill gesture if they can't sort this out quickly.
@RawShark
Best kind of goodwill gesture would just be if they do a better job opening the lines of communication in the future. There is zero reason that the NA Blog for yesterday's update should've had 12 pages (last I looked) with not one reply as to what was going on. That's ridiculous.
