As we're sure that you've noticed, Sony's marketing machine has been working like a mad man for upcoming title The Last of Us Remastered. However, the company's latest effort has us slightly baffled. Dubbed The Last of Us: One Night Live, this exclusive event will bring the gritty and dystopian world of Naughty Dog's survival horror opus to the stage on 28th July.
As for the show itself, the whole thing's a bit of a mystery. What we do know, however, is that the event will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, and several of the game's actors will be in attendance to do readings of key scenes. What's more, composer Gustavo Santaolalla will be on hand to perform the soundtrack. With that said, we suspect that this theatrical outing will be closer to Evil Dead: The Musical than My Fair Lady.
Unfortunately, tickets have already sold out, but don't panic too much, as the Japanese giant will also be streaming the show over the Internet. What do you make of this stupefying marketing stunt? Will you be watching live? Let us know in the comments section below.

So much hype, over a remaster.
They really are going all out, aren't they?
This would be awesome live. I'll watch the stream but it won't be as cool...
Making way to much of a big deal out of a remaster a tad ridiculous.
Instead of Guys and Joels as a tag line, I thought Ellie Joel-ding sounds cooler.
I'd love to watch it at the cinema, cineworld usually stick on quite a lot of theatre.
I reserved my tickets already =] Only 40 minutes away from where I live.
