With a frighteningly large North American readership, Game Informer magazine gets some of the best cover reveals each and every month. Heading into E3 last year, it unveiled Titanfall, the next first-person shooter from Call of Duty creators Respawn Entertainment. This time around, it’s not breaking news of an unannounced title, but it has got an exclusive first look at hotly anticipated sequel Far Cry 4.
As part of its extensive 12-page story, the publication promises information on “weapons, vehicles, modes of traversal, loads of diabolical new combat manoeuvres – and some big surprises, too”. Interestingly, though, the issue will not be available to download until after the conclusion of Sony’s big press conference next week, suggesting that you should probably expect some kind of cameo from Ubisoft Montreal during the show.
In the meantime, you can check out the issue’s awesome artwork embedded above. Are you ready to embark on your tour of the Himalayas? Paraglide into the comments section below.

While this is exciting, I'm still a bit peeved that it's not a Valve game announced at Sony's conference. Grrrr
@sajoey Never buy into the ridiculous rumours that people spin out of these things...
@get2sammyb IT WAS A GAME INFORMER EMPLOYEE
@sajoey Especially not when it's a Game Informer employee! Haha!
@get2sammyb Man, I don't know who to trust anymore. My life feels like a lie.
That should be the cover of the game. Much better than the berk in the pink suit.
@sajoey
We all know that if Valve has anything to announce, it'll be at MS's conference.
@SecondServing Not by this point. Gabe hates the Xbox brand now, especially since Microsoft created Windows 8, which he despises. Plus they had that big contract when Portal 2 came out, and with the PS4 being so similar in architecture to a fairly high end PC, he loves it.
Wasn't expecting this to be aired before e3 since it has advertised floor space for farcry 4. Another game I am really looking forward to seeing in action
@sajoey If Valve do anything it's on PC. Or their own hardware.
@rastamadeus Valve have stated that there games will never be exclusive to hardware so there's always a chance that Half-Llife 3 Portal 3 Left for Dead 3 or whatever else they make could come to PS4 or Xbox one
@AeroZeppelin Problem is Valve would actually have to release a game. That is rarer than hens teeth at the moment.
@rastamadeus True det
