Journey Clambers to the Summit of the PSN Charts

Posted by Sammy Barker

Magical trip

Not content with scooping our coveted Game of the Year award, Journey has also climbed to the peak of the North American PlayStation Network charts. The critically acclaimed exclusive brushed aside strong competition from Mass Effect and The Walking Dead to steal the top spot for the month of December. In Europe, the title finished second alongside The Unfinished Swan.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita was the best selling PlayStation Vita game in North America, while Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath leapfrogged the portable toolbox overseas. Unsurprisingly, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas conquered the PlayStation 2 Classics list in both regions, while Bully put in an A+ performance, too.

You can peruse the full rundown of best sellers in both North America and Europe via the corresponding links. Did you purchase any digital downloads in December? Let us know in the comments section below.

I helped by picking up Journey for $7 thanks to the holiday sale. I also scooped up Mass Effect which I thought would never see the light of day on PS3. :)

I wish Sony would port Journey (and Flower and Unfinished Swan) to the Vita. I want to play these awesome games too!
