Meet some of the playable classes in Dragon's Dogma.

Interest in Dragon's Dogma is at an all time high — mainly because of the game's Resident Evil 6 demo.

But Capcom's aiming to strike while the iron's hot, hoping it can convince you to pick up Dragon's Dogma on its own merits.

In addition to a new trailer (embedded below) the Japanese publisher's outlined two of the game's character classes on its Capcom Unity website. First up is the Strider, who uses daggers in addition to a bow as backup. "Striders deal damage with quick speed and deadly accuracy," the website explains. "They also have trap abilities and trick arrows that allow them to confuse and disorient enemies." Apparently, Striders also excel in acrobatics "allowing them to freely strike at an enemy’s weakest areas". Oooh-err.

The second class is the Fighter, unsurprisingly armed with a sword and shield. "Fighters offer a good balance of offense and defense and serve on the party’s front lines," the website continues. "Equipped with a one-handed sword and shield, they excel at both offense and defense." Sadly, Fighters aren't particularly nimble and cannot cast elemental attacks, however "their weapons can be imbued with elemental status if accompanied by a mage or other class capable of elementals".

There's way more information available on Capcom Unity. There's also a story trailer embedded below.
