Martin believes that Sony will be using the downtime to remove original server code and rebuild it "using new login keys for their admin side".

Martin also believes that this will affect our initial login when the service returns, requiring new patches for each piece of software. Sounds a bit drastic to us, but then we only have a very loose grip understanding of all this database stuff.

We've been trying to get more information out of Sony but it's like trying to get blood out of a stone right now. We're all probably best off waiting for an official statement. Hopefully that comes today.
