@Knuckles-Fajita Yeah it's a weird one, I know you like XBC1 (or X?) and I got it on 3DS hoping I'd enjoy it as much or more than the 2nd one but after forcing myself to play it for 20 hours I just wasn't having as much fun. I don't think it worked very well on the 3DS to be fair, I'd give it another shot on console but I don't fancy buying a Wii or Wii U just for that and XBCX. If they remake it for Switch I'll be first in line though.

@kyleforrester87 I like XCX. Never played XC, probably wont after trying XC2.

XCX is such a vastly different style of game that I fell in love with, the battle system isnt slow and clunky, your options are more varied at any one time rather than relying on switching or simply...waiting. Auto-attacks feel better in X and the world was just more interesting from the off.

I mean...its two very different style of games. Sadly though I think a Switch port of X would be far too costly given how tailor made for Wii U system architecture that game was, and how the tech foundation was built specifically to make it work as well as it does at that scope.

Then again, XC2 is built on that engine, so maybe its just the little workarounds and such they built into how assets are loaded that would need to be reworked.

But I also dont see them doing a sequel to XCX either despite needing it, given its sales compared to the other two.

@Knuckles-Fajita XBC2 starts off pretty slow but the battle system does get pretty involving in my opinion once everything opens up. There is a great rhythm to it all which I enjoy. I appreciate it has less focus on placement for example over the previous games but you usually have enough to keep an eye on without moving the characters around much.

@kyleforrester87 It's really hard for me to quantify why I like X so much more. The MMO light elements are cool but I think I really just enjoy having a world to explore too. Plus the more "Expedition" kind of aspect of it helped. Return to base, refuel, craft, countless quests...

Kinda like what Anthem was originally now I think about it. XD

I know people have said it gets good for XC2....but I also played for a good 7 hours. Yes, that's a small part of the game, but its still 7 hours. If you dont grab me in that time...well that's a problem. It's why I won't play Nier, because the phrase "It gets good after your second playthrough" is one of the most backhanded compliments I've ever heard XD

@kyleforrester87 If you liked the base game you should buy the Torna prequel game. Some of the issues I had with the base game were refined in it. The handheld mode is still bad though but it has better characters and overall narative imo.

@belmont yeah I enjoyed Torna but not as much as the base game actually! I preferred Rex and co

@kyleforrester87 True. That was a fun 6 months playing XCX.

Finished up FFXHD yesterday. I put much more detailed thoughts in the "Games you recently beat" thread, but in general I thought it held up really well, and I enjoyed my time with it.

I should be getting Katamari Damacy Reroll in soon, and am pretty excited to try it out since I've never played anything in the series before.

@KratosMD Yikes, Nintendo games are already expensive enough across Europe. What do they mean by market conditions? I'm sure the same will happen here if Sterling depreciates any further.

@KratosMD How expensive are games usually in Sweden in euros? Physical is already cheaper than digital over here, so if digital prices go up even more, then importing from another European country may be way cheaper.

@KratosMD It's the other way around for me. Digital is always €60, but physical can be as low as €50 at launch.

@KratosMD Same here in the UK. Physical at launch is normally cheaper I think. For Nintendo games, oddly, I tend to buy physical over digital regardless of price just because value doesnt dip as quickly.

@KratosMD Well done my man, it's always good to be rewarded for something you enjoy doing.

Those prices suck too! I always wait for sales to buy anything for my Switch, your gonna need something like double discounts to get those prices down to something reasonable though.

@KratosMD Well done on the unexpected win. I would never win anything. Unless it is rage quitting Bloodborne DLC. I am doing well at that.

With regards to Nintendo pricing, to be honest, digital prices are horrendous and there are never really worthwhile price drops. My biggest annoyance though is 3DS prices. Apart from their Select titles, other games just don't drop in value, even second hand. Majora's Mask 3d is still over £30. Moan over.

@KratosMD I just remembered that BOTW was always €69.99 on Switch. I got a physical copy for the Wii U at launch for €50...

@Rudy_Manchego I dunno I think there has been some good sales in the UK eshop. I picked up Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Mario v Rabids for decent prices.
