Well I like the games but I recently started a replay of the Ratchet and Clank Trilogy on PS Vita from the PS3 style remaster and while the games are still good, they do show their age. I'm fine with it if they had a full R&C PS4 remaster because that game looked and played amazing - got the gameplay modernised but all the fun and spirit of the original.
I think though you'll probably just get new games like the forthcoming one on PS5.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
@KratosMD they are from the PS2, the new games might play similar but when you take into account things such as size of the levels etc, then yes, they are showing their age.
@KratosMD Well never said they were bad games at all and still immensely playable but compare R&C PS4 with the original and it had so many quality of life improvements that I think, just having a straight re-release would lessen interest in the franchise.
That said, I do wish there were more offerings of PS2 and beyond games, something I hope the PS5 rectifies.

@JohnnyShoulder I'll check it out someday. I just wish retro games don't have to be locked behind a subscription as I'd rather buy what I want when I want rather than spend all my money on a subscription with only some games I'll like
@Abeedo I think it is more to do with that Sony hasn't figured a way to get PS3 games natively on PS4, as you can currently buy some PS1 and PS2 games on the store. Personally I think PS NOW is great value, even more so if you can get a subscription in one of the sales. Although when I did try streaming it wasn't that great due to speeds being restricted because of covid 19.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder The games I want to play are games like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper and Psychonauts. With the exception of Jak and Daxter and Psychonauts the rest of the games haven't been ported to the console. I'm not saying it would be easy, or even financially wise of them to do so, but it is possible, and I and a couple of other people would appreciate that.
