Topic: PlayStation Store Not Working.

Anyone else come across this problem before where the PlayStation Store doesn't load with the Please wait flashing? I left it like this for around 45 minutes its been like this since i pre-ordered Nex Mechina. It was working fine until Nex Mechina unlocked and since Tuesday the PlayStation Store doesn't load. I have a wired connect, i just don't want to have restore the PS4 itself. Thanks for any help.

Do you have a game running in the background? I've encountered this problem when I've been playing something online heavy like Overwatch and then tried to access the store

Try Settings -> Network -> Test Connection. It fixes the issue for me every time my PS4 is lagging.

Rebuild the database through safemode..tends to fix a lot of stuff. Takes 10 mins.

Thanks for replies no game running in the background, i'v done test connection, haven't Rebuild the database in though never had to do that. How do you get into safe mode on the PS4?

@banacheck turn off, plug controller in via USB cable, press power button it'll beep once, hold it for 7 seconds and it will beep again, release finger.

Then it's like option 7 in the list or something.

Yes i tryed it and it didn't work so i guess I'll have to restore the PS4 altogether after backing up everything.

Restoring is going a bit overboard. I have noticed that the PSN store has been slow for awhile not sure why, I am no tech guy, which is why I usually use the PSN App on my phone to make purchases.

I've tryed almost everything i seen that advice been trying almost all day. I googled it and come across a YouTube video with a dad with the sort of problem he tryed a lot things, in the end he rang Sony. Thay said rebuild database in safe if that doesn't work restore it to factory settings. He also tryed rebuilding the database didn't work but after he restored to factory settings it worked. I had no problems until Nex Mechina unlocked after being Pre-ordred, tryed to use the PlayStation Store on Tuesday won't work. It just shows the PlayStation symbols with please wait and every few seconds the please wait will flash but everything works fine. Don't know?

@Tasuki PlayStation Store is having maintenance on the 27 th i was thinking about wait untill after maintenance, i don't want to restore it.

@banacheck That's a bummer, I had an error message come up after i downloaded nex machina yesterday. I had to restore all my licenses in the PS4 settings to let me download it. Doubt this will help you with your problem but could be worth a punt.

Only other potential suggestion is give it a go wireless if you can to see if that makes a difference, might help narrow it down.

@banacheck Yeah I would wait till after the 27th. That might be the reason for the maintenance.

The OS has been very laggy since the last update, getting on the store has been a problem for a long while, I just come in and out of the store till it properly shows up. Personally if or when the time comes for the PS5 I think Sony should seriously consider investing in a brand new network. I'll be an awful expense but clearly this wasn't made to support certain features from the PS3 days, it took till PS4 to get cross game chat and we're still waiting on name changes. Where's if they came out and said that PS5 will launch with a brand new PSN that is far robust to deal with modern gaming's demands. And give people plenty of notice to sign up (even without owning a PS5) to ensure that their profile, trophies and content carries over.

@adf86 Same here, its been pretty laggy for the past week.

It's still working on Vita and PS3, but it is unusually slow today...

So i decided to wipe the PS4 after backing up stuff i set-up the PS4 then logged back in went to the PlayStation Store and it worked fine. The only thing i can think of that might of happened when it downloaded Nex Machine it corrupted something by downloading bad file. It was like it was stuck in a loop trying to load fail hence the Please wait flashing then trying again, not sure but thank god its working now.
