My hard drive went out on me I put a new in n went to safe mode only thing I can select is option 7 then I put the USB in n it is telling me cannot find update I got the complete update off the psn site it was a new USB stick n just another new n still the same thing if anybody can plz help thanks in advance
@Racer088 It sounds like your replacement HDD inside the console can't talk to the USB stick, or vice versa. In disassembling and reassembling your PS4, you might've knocked an internal connection, perhaps?
I obviously can't tell for certain. Just randomly saying words in case they help.

Ya think might have a good point there here some other issue to when I download the complete system update it is to be 1Gb but I keep getting 0.97GB idk if that has something to do with it that it doesn't recognize it idk
@Racer088 It's possible. Best bet would probably be to contact Sony's support line and see if they register it as a common issue. I'm sure they've heard everything by now!

@Racer088 On the external drive, create a folder named "PS4". Inside that folder, create another folder named "UPDATE". if you just put the file directly onto the USB stick without the correct folder structure it won’t find it.
