Tried to post this on the PlayStation sub earlier and was called an idiot and told to get some brain cells so here we are. So I have my ps5 on my dresser and it’s vertical and it’s on the stand so I’m not really worried about it falling. But every time I open or close a drawer it will sort of shake the system. I don’t even have to open the drawer that hard for it to happen. Anyways my biggest concern is that this could possible knock the systems fan or disk port loose and that would obviously not be great. Part me of wants to think that there is no way that it can break that way unless I slam it super hard or over and over again but I am still gonna ask to be safe.
Eh, I wouldn't worry about the occasional low impact shake. The shipping the system took to get from the factory to your house was far worse. I would be far more worried about it tipping over if it's near the edge. A fall would most assuredly damage the system. Average dresser is what... 4-5 ft tall? Yeah, that is what I would be more worried about.
i have mine sitting up high ; the stand that it comes with protects or prevents it from rocking or falling . this is probably the best console stand ever made .
Personally it would bug me. Reality is they are shipping these to everyone in the US in a box that gets tossed around like a ragdoll by UPS and FedEx and they work fine. And solid state inside of it and the moving parts are fans. Maybe you can come up with a better solution like putting a shelf on the wall for it.
