Here's a word to the wise: DON'T BUY A BRICK

The failure rate of XBOX360's is over 50%! That means that you have a better than 50% chance of your machine dying on you for no reason. Feel free to search this information out for yourself.

I bought an Elite because they were supposedly more reliable. I thought I knew what I was getting into. My XBOX died within 12 months. Microsoft will fix or replace it for free -- GREAT. So I sent it away. Three weeks later I got back a different (refurbished) console. That one died within three weeks of casual use. Sent that one away, and got one back. Same thing -- within one month of casual use, it was a BRICK.

Tried once more, but ended up buying a PS3 out of frustration. Never been happier. PS3s are reliable, the game play is better, and I can watch Blu-Ray movies! (It's the best BR player on the market, as the firmware is updated constantly via internet...) It also syncs to my computer's media files effortlessly (something that was a pain on the XBOX), and I haven't had any problems with file formats (again, tons of problems on the XBOX)

Best of all, it's quiet. The XBOX sounds like a jet taking off -- I literally had to turn up the sound to drown it out! The PS3 is quiet as a mouse.

I am never paying for online multiplayer again.

Stay away from the XBOX 360. Buy a PS3 instead.
