Early PSP Go Preorder Signs Suggest A Positive Response

PSP Go's Early Pre-Orders Look Positive For Sony's Reinvented Platform.

PSP Go's Early Pre-Order Sales Look Positive For Sony's Reinvented Platform.

There was some initial backlash to the PSP Go when the news leaked late last week. Even we couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed with the look of the system. Since then, it’s really grown on us. It looks every inch the piece of quality hardware we come to expect from Sony. And according to PunchJump.com – consumers are reacting in much a similar way.

Based on Amazon.com’s sales charts the PSP Go had a sales increase of 554% after being put on sale, ranking 54 on Amazon’s sales chart before raising once again to number 40 this morning.

Sony’s re-interest in the platform must have stirred the fanbase like they were hoping.

I'm a casual gamer (maybe play once or twice a week for 30 mins) this device is not appealing to me for a number of reasons.
    1. Overpried device
    - not only the hardware but the software, even without manufacturing cost, each softwaare copy is excessively expenssive $40-$50+ for a non-existing software I think is over priced.
    2. you cannot sell old software
    3. no price drops or used games prices from Sony - as you might well know by now from Sony Store.
Unless a netflix(in america) like service, which will let you pay a low fee to play the games and return them when you are finished for a low price, (LOW) This might be another example of a company's greedy pocket getting the best of it's inovation.
  • Hey guys good news, just seen that Tesco Direct is doing it for £199.99.
  • It's not quite as popular here in the UK. I think people are still waiting for that £229.99 price tag to be reduced.
  • Yeah it absolutely has to go to £199.99.
  • This doesn't surprise me, it's a great piece of kit.
