Re: Disc-Based PS5s Now Warn Buyers About the Impending Death of Physical Games

@ButteredCrumpet except you weren't giving your opinion. you were telling them they shouldn't feel as strongly as they do about this. How you feel about something has no right or wrong. People may live in a country that has poor internet, or they live out in the country where they have to use broadband which can be spotty and god awfully slow. Maybe people dont have that much money and subsidize their gaming by trading in games once they are finished. You said you can still game, but maybe that really isn't the case for some people now.

Re: Could Xbox Get Its Revenge on PS6 by Supporting Physical Games?

@GigaGaia there is no reason for them to announce it now except for short term PR. The consoles havent even really been announced yet. If they can keep the fact hidden from Sony that they will have one, then they will wait until the console reveal to announce where it would be harder for Sony to backtrack on their decision.

It isnt about will they keep physical for revenge for Microsoft or any corp really. The only reason they would keep physical is if they see it as valuable to pulling more people back into their ecosystem. Ps6 launches without a way to play your physical library from the ps4-ps5 but Xbox launches with your ability to play every gen and then allow you a digital license to play those on your PC or handheld pc like the rog ally? Perhaps they will see that as a last ditch effort to really take a chunk of the market back.

Re: Amidst Sony's Disc Debacle, Capcom Sales Data Is a Brutal Reality Check for Fans of Physical Media

Sony needs to come out with their digital plan. Are they going to give us a refund policy? The ability to gift games? Will game prices be cheaper (more/better sales) to compete with steam sales? What benefit do we get for sticking with Sony and their next $1000+ machine when all they are really releasing with first party is 3-4 games most people will pick up per generation. Why would someone not just buy a steam box or potentially a project helix if it has a steam store on it?
