Re: The Quarry Is a $70 PS5 Title from Supermassive Games

Looks good. I think the pricing thing is quite a significant issue though. Until dawn comes in at an 8-10 hour game & dark pictures anthology titles average at 4-6.
I've bought enjoyed them all but I can't see what this will do differently to the devil in me which will cost over half the price.

Re: Reaction: We Need to Talk About Tiny Tina on PS Plus

Someone at Sony is sending alot of love to gearbox. Considering it's the second time there has been a low customer value game from gearbox in the last few months.
It's either a marketing deal for the new borderlands or a new intern got done over.

I don't know if it's true or not but I have been told plus games 'succsss' is measured in games being added to a library so I have not added Godfall or Tiny Tina to my library. I'm ok with not having either of them and if it appears on some sort of metric I've done all I can.

Re: PS Plus February 2022 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

Wasn't that tiny Tina game part of the handsome collection? Something already given away in plus.. not the best month & another slimmed down game acting as an advert for something new.
Here's hoping that news of a refresh happens sooner rather than later.

Re: Nothing to Announce on PSVR2 Backwards Compatibility, Says Sony

poperamone

Like many I grabbed the psvr starter set with a bunch of games included when it was cheaper (mine was a black Friday deal). I've not really given it hours & hours of play time but it still comes out occasionally and it's a blast.
If the new headset offers backwards compatibility it's almost a no-brainer. I can still play old games in better fidelity & refresh rate and grab the new titles to play along the way.
If it doesn't then it's a much tougher sell, I don't need two doodads sat under the tellybox gathering dust & I haven't seen any huge developments in VR to make me think I need to spend £300+ to play a new half life & a horizon VR experience when there is beat saber & AstrobOT to play at zero extra cost.

Re: Reaction: Merging PS Plus and PS Now Makes Sense, But an Xbox Game Pass Competitor Can't Be Half-Arsed

poperamone

I've never been interested in PSNow but I use gamepass. My impression is that Sony don't really know how to celebrate their legacy.; They release d a half assed mini consoles & Jim Ryan has gone on record being dismissive of older titles.

If this is going to be a success then your going to need to see a decently large catalogue of PS1,2 & 3 titles ideally with something that makes the graphics more palatable. I still use my fat PS3 fairly regularly and some of those older titles games are awful on huge modern screens, even some of the early PS3 games look a bit fuzzy.

Microsoft has a increasing large catalogue of exclusives (if you include the Bethesda back Catalogue and the indie games they are locking into day one exclusives) no one is going to be that fussed if it's the same third party titles that are on gamepass and a slow rollout of roms.. look at Nintendo.
