Let's just think about this carefully shall we? Sony have three exclusives left to release before PS5 hits the stage. We know that they are going to have to play a 'slower game' than normal (ie they simply haven't got the exclusives left to release for the PS4. So they still want to keep attention on the PS4, so it seems fairly obvious. Let each of the three games take their place one by one in the spotlight. Stretch out the media attention on each one, to gain maximum publicity. Therefore I simply cannot see a state of play this week with a trailer dropping for TLOU2 as we already know that Death Stranding hits the stage his week. what do you think?
Given that Sony have few exclusives still to launch I think their strategy is fairly clear, (given their omissions from E3 2019 etc). They will carefully want to manage how these few remaining releases occur.
I think that the LOU2 is likely to be in the final quarter of this financial year or the first quarter of 2020. This is in part because Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy would have swallowed up considerable human resources to complete. So I think that all attention really turned to LOU2 post Lost Legacy (2017)
I also think this strategy would line it up well to send off the PS4 in style and set it up for a remaster in 2021 to coincide with sales of PS5.
