Hang on a second, I was reliably informed at the time that Dragon Age was "dunking on all the chuds," by selling like hot cakes. Now I don't know what to believe.
Absolutely fantastic game. Was worried it wouldn't be fun solo but I was wrong. The PvP mode is also fantastic fun and only going to get better. Looking forward to playing co op at some point.
I am really enjoying the game. I agree with some of the balancing issues, and have one or two other minor gripes, but overall I think the game is fantastic. It'll be even better once we all become a bit more strategic online, particularly the beaters. I also think the chasers need to consider defence a bit more - though this will be more feasible once they introduce 6v6. I hope lots of people are still playing at that time.
I have played some genuinely wonderful games this year, but what an awful year for "Triple A" gaming. Starfield, SM2 and TOTK all winning game of the year on their respective sites says it all; all mediocre games, at best. Personally I'd call them bad, though I know lots of people disagree.
@QuoVadis yeah, I agree with most of your points. My main consideration with any new console is games I can't play anywhere else, and there aren't enough of those on ps5 at the moment, in my opinion. Game pass is also absolutely unreal and incredibly cheap for me, currently.
@Kevw2006 certainly makes a good point, though. Coming to Xbox again for the first time since the 360 has certainly had a big impact on my experience so far. However, I think the same could potentially be true for lots of Playstation fans if they discarded brand loyalty, which goes back to my original comment: I'm not sure why so many people have bought a ps5. I expect the majority of them already have a PS4 and would have a similarly positive experience with the series X.
Some good points raised above, which I have read and appreciate, as well as one or two comments I reject entirely. I did say I have "almost" no idea, and attempted to clarify that with an edit. I wasn't "trolling."
I guess I am thinking primarily about games I can only play on a ps5, or can only play on xbox. As someone who skipped the Xbox one (in favour of a PS4) there's just so much that's new to me on game pass and xbox. What's new on playstation so far this gen? Quality of life features don't really cut it for me. I can certainly understand not feeling like I do if you owned an Xbox one or if you own a half decent pc. But I think we can assume most of the people here owned a PS4. Brand loyalty and savvy marketing seems to me to be the only explanation for ps5 sales. I've seen no other serious explanation offered.
@NotSoCryptic @Member_the_game and @stonyKL (edit, just adding you so you knew I'd read your comments. Appreciated them. Just not enough there for me to justify an upgrade - only care about good new games.)
For me personally the series X and game pass completely blow the ps5 away at this stage, particularly as I don't have a pc and didn't have an Xbox 1. There isn't a single game that tempts me even in the slightest to upgrade my PS4. I honestly can't believe so many people have bought a ps5.
This is great. As they’ve made all this money already, and will make an awful lot more, perhaps they won’t ruin Red Dead Online with pay to win micro transactions the way they ruined GTA Online.
Long time reader, first time commenter. I don’t care what anyone says - I love the English Dub in both of these with every fibre of my being. Had to get that off my chest.

Re: Mini Review: Starship Troopers: Extermination (PS5) - Not Just a Helldivers Clone
@Kiefer-Sutherland may I ask if it takes long to find matches? The game has crossplay I know but I feel like it hasn't sold all that well.

Re: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions' Snitch Has Been Dramatically Nerfed on PS5, PS4
@Rich33 completely agree, let us play how we want.
Re: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions' Snitch Has Been Dramatically Nerfed on PS5, PS4
A little disappointed about the 100 points game end rule they mention in the trailer. Hope that can be customised.
Re: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions' Snitch Has Been Dramatically Nerfed on PS5, PS4
@Bamila is that an opinion based on time you spent with the beta? I understand you may have signed an NDA so just wink twice if so! 🤣
I badly want this to be good.

What a bizarre headline.

Re: PS5 Is Now Above PS4 in USA, While Its New-Gen Rival Flounders
Would love a good pc, as I haven't had one for years, but I don't currently have the time, space, money or expertise to really get the most out of it.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Takes Over the World on PS5 Launch Day
The first game potentially worth owning a ps5 for, so I'm not surprised Sony seems to be putting a bit into marketing it.
Not even sure they need to, though, considering the number of people who've already bought ps5's.
