@NEStalgia:
Your takes regarding PS usually are a miss and hit, mostly the former one.

But Totoki has been working at Sony since 1987, he's the Sony Director, President, COO, CFO and Playstation Chairman.
So, he's basically a company insider, know the Company very well and has sufficient knowledge about Sony's IP's.

I think they couldn't choose a better replacement than him, he seems that will take Sony to higher levels.

@B_Lindz:

I mean, there’s an entry level Switch that cost $199, the entry level PS5 was $450 until the temporary cuts Sony is being doing this year.

It’s been almost 4 years since Sony released the PS5 at $499 and it’s at 60m . units sold without too many exclusives.

Games will come and the system hopefully will get a permanent price cut before the Pro releases.

Profits would be in the vicinity of around 13%.

What the article doesn't mention is that the Bungie acquisition (which IMO was a waste of money) is taken into account starting from FY2022, Sony even confirmed they were planning on paying the $3.6B in multiple quarters.

Re: UK Sales Charts: PS5 Roguelike Returnal Off to Slower Start Than Other Sony Exclusives

2nd place for physical only sales to me seems to be extremely good when:

1) This game is only on PS5 and the system has only been sold for about 4-5 months
2) It got beaten by a Pokemon game on a system with way higher install base than the PS5.
3) The % of digital copies would be higher than physical sales.
4) There are almost 8 million PS5 units sold WW, if this game does about 1-2 millions in the first month it would be HUGE for the type of game it is.

GOTY for me, they improved a lot from part I.
We only know that the game dropped 80% second week on UK but not how much the game dropped worldwide.
Games like Uncharted 4 dropped 78% and God of War 71%, it's normal.
And no, this game didn't sell well because the hype for the first game, this game is selling well because it's an excellent game.
I know some people expected "The fantastic adventures of Joel and Ellie" but we got something more.

And just like every game, a lot of people didn't like it, but is a fools game trying to pretend that everyone hates it or that it is a disappointment because none of that is true.
