Re: Talking Point: Sony's Investing in Anime, But Why Isn't PlayStation Leading the Charge?

@PuppetMaster The question was obviously rhetorical, since I gave a thorough explanation immediately after saying it. Good for you that it's easier to find wherever you are but I'm telling you that it's not that easy to find where I'm located. Seeing as how North America is almost always the biggest consumer of physical video games, that feels like a much better metric than your "knowledge" for how limited the number of copies were actually produced.
The less expensive used copies in my region are usually $45 - $55 USD, which is not cheap for an almost decade-old release. Even then it's usually in a generic case with no artwork, or sometimes no case at all. Oftentimes even a used copy will sell for more if it's "complete in box". A sealed copy goes for $70 - $100 USD or sometimes even higher, like I already told you.

@PuppetMaster Thanks for an article about the collector's edition lol? That doesn't prove it was the only rare copy of that game. Have you researched this at all? I wasn't lying about the price being this high for a long time. Everything I've looked up suggests that at least in North America, GR Remastered has been pretty rare since 2017, which is not that long after it released. It had a limited print. That's obviously why there's so few in circulation & why even used copies frequently are sold for higher than the price of a new game today. It wasn't up for debate, dunno why you were so sure you were right lmao. "No." 😂🤡😂
Also, I didn't mean that the game was literally not advertised. I was admittedly a late adopter of these systems, I got my PS4 in 2017 & my Vita even later around 2020. I saw the trailers after eventually getting the games but even getting my PS4 in the same year the second game came out, I barely even heard people talk about them until I got my Vita, since the original is arguably one of the best games to play on that system.

This is the very first time I've heard of Overture, thanks for sharing that link! Genuinely!

@PuppetMaster Didn't Sony famously make a very limited print of physicals for GR Remastered & GR2? It's like $100 for a copy of either of those today, they're so rare compared to other first party games. They've actually been being upsold like that online for years now. Also while physical gaming is still important to some people, I think it was way bigger 8 or 9 years ago, with practically zero marketing (at least I cannot recall a single ad for either at the time) they kinda put the IP to bed all by themselves in my opinion. Hard to blame anyone for not taking notice when Sony barely cared in the first place, it's like they were spiteful over the first game not selling better on Vita.

Re: Sony Buffed PS5's Wishlist, But It's Been Broken for Weeks Now

babybilly

@Northern_munkey @Sarcasmatwork For buying games on sale. Obviously lol, since some people are interested in playing more than two games. The wishlist is more for games you don't plan on getting immediately. That's why I have games in my amazon wishlist as well, it seems fairly self explanatory as opposed to going through the hundreds of games every time I get some cash to blow & I want a new game

Re: PS5 Pro Update on Its Way to Black Myth: Wukong, Arriving Tomorrow

Good news as long as they took their time and actually tested this sh*t. Can't believe so many game devs put in the "effort" to do a pro patch when the result was worse than base PS5 performance. I'm glad I never personally bought a pro but it still sucks for the hardcore fans who wanted a premium experience are kinda getting shafted

Re: Sony's Latest First-Party Release Is Struggling to Do Concord Numbers on PC

@RawnDawn Mostly I've been seeing Lego fans say the game is pretty boring and repetitive, specifically gameplay-wise I've been seeing people say it's extremely simple.
It's kinda funny that almost all the reviews for this game were for PS5, as I suspect (like with most multi plat releases) that Switch will get the highest units sold. I could be wrong but I seriously doubt most of the standard Horizon fanbase would want to play this. The tone for that series is pretty drab and I imagine it's the complete opposite for a Lego game.

Re: Black Myth: Wukong Physical Version Now Official, PS5 Disc Included

babybilly

@UnlimitedSevens I did not own a PS3 so I didn't know that! I heard about that doom release as well. Disappointing stuff. My point I guess was I'm aware it happens, but it's extremely rare so it was confusing that multiple people assumed it would be. Sorry for the late reply, I think I meant to weeks ago but forgot to hit the button!

Re: Suicide Squad Studio Hit with Layoffs After Poor Sales

@TrickyDicky99 Hm I think you might wanna look up who the director, lead designer, lead programmer, and lead art design for those games are... I also seen in the wiki that the writer for Arkham Asylum was a producer for SSKTJL.
I know there's probably lots of the newer staff that weren't part of Asylum, but it's safe to say that it's not shocking why people were expecting more.
