@PuppetMaster fellow VF geek here, I played a bit of FS on my Xbox. Stopped because was too heartbroken there’s no new game. 😭
On a silly note though, finding Vanilla SFIV matches in 2023 made me think I’d have some luck in VF5, suffice to say I was back empty handed.

@Kidfunkadelic83 I’m definitely not about to defend modern sonic any time soon. Colours barely qualified as a tech demo. Last sonic game I’d call a masterpiece was 3&K. Everything after was too all over the place, even if some I liked.
Even if I occasionally enjoy it, It’s definitely not a serious I’d die to recommend others. Kinda shocking how such a mainstream franchise is more suited for an acquired taste.

Sadly a ton of stuff I can’t get right away (like SH2), but as a gigantic dead rising fan, I already know what my goty is. Really happy with 2024! 2025 will be a banger too with Yakuza Pirate and of course, Dynasty Warriors.

@dskatter Happy for you! Nice to know we’ve had similar experiences. For me, it was GTA IV that really made my purchase worth it. It’s my favorite game of all time. I was equally happy to play some other shooters like Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Undead Nightmare (before it was ported to other consoles).

Awesome news for me. This is a niche I’m invested in.

@dskatter @RagnarLothbrok agree with both, I also echo the experience of being a recent Xbox adopter, but ever so slightly older (got it 3 years ago, rather than 6 months ago). Been fun! Glad you had fun with it too, @dskatter!

Got the pixel remasters lately. They’re part of my “Q4 2024” plans. Mentioned it a bit in the chit chat thread. Wonder what other games i should cram into the list. FF1-6 will be fun though!

@PuppetMaster loooool same. I’m obviously not against collections at all, but there’s something to be said about how they’re pacing their releases lol. I for one don’t fully agree with the thought that every thing in existence needs a remaster 😂 at least not if it leads to stuff like this. But as @LiamCroft mentioned, Konami’s exit from the gaming market could still be felt today lol. Hopefully that changes…. In the next ten years 🤣
