Was tempted to pay for the special edition upgrade but I’ve got so much to play already, will definitely jump on when it’s on Game Pass next week though.

@Boxmonkey They definitely do when you include PC, Forza Horizon 6 has been a resounding success and proves that. They just need to deliver more games of a similar quality, that’s their actual biggest issue.

@zskillz6891 Is that the PS5 version? I played on Series X for a month straight at launch and had no major issues, but haven’t played it much since so for all I know they’ve broken it with updates.

@AdamNovice I think it’s more so that this is one of the worst kept secrets in gaming that they may as well just make an announcement.

I don’t mind this, I liked Avowed but I’ll take a new Fallout game any day.

The fact that none of those studios are closing is a big silver lining, I’m surprised at that.

To be honest I don’t mind for games personally as I only buy all digital, but I’m a huge blu ray collector for movies so I get why this sucks for others. End of an era.

@Sammy_G It does but you can’t stream or watch your friend’s streams on PlayStation, which is strange considering Sony’s partnership with Discord. Would be a game changer for me if they add that functionality and I’d play my PS5 a lot more as a result.

I’ll get on Xbox so I can stream on discord to my friends who are on PC lol, but will pick up the inevitable PS6 version in a few years.

Will be pre-ordering the ultimate edition, probably the only game I’ll ever do that for.

Doesn’t surprise me about Laufey given the controversy it generated. Wolverine, Gears and Until Dawn 2 were the three I’m most excited for.

@JAMes-BroWWWn Multiple sources confirmed the game sold over a million copies for it’s early access release alone, and Alinea won’t be far off the mark. You can choose to turn a blind eye and pretend the game has barely sold any copies, but it won’t change reality, and I’m a grown adult so I’ll ignore all of the other fluff about “cultist” fanbases and console war nonsense that padded out the rest of your reply.

They’ve become unbelievably bloated with ABK, such a poor decision buying them.

@add286 The reason they started selling on PlayStation was because the previous leadership was imposed with a 30% profit margin after overpaying for ABK.

@JAMes-BroWWWn Forza Horizon 6 selling millions of copies in a month disproves the majority of what you’ve said there. If their AAA games hit a high quality bar, there is a big audience on Xbox + PC that will actually buy their games. The problem is they’ve put out too many 7’s and 8’s rather than 9’s and 10’s since the start of the Xbox One generation.

@DefiledViper I don’t think it’s that messed up, it’s their IP and they’re doing something to try to win back their own audience by finally showing some to their own platform again.

The polls on previous articles had the majority of people saying “I don’t care about Gears” but the comments on these articles from the past couple of days would suggest otherwise…

They made the right call

@AdamNovice Microsoft started putting all of their games on PC before Game Pass existed first of all. The reason for PS5 ports was because the previous leadership overspent on ABK and was imposed with a strict 30% profit margin. The new leadership knows this was a bad idea, hence why they’re reversing it, and they have proof their games can be very successful just on PC and Xbox. You should read up on some of the previous reporting on this.

@AdamNovice Forza Horizon 6 is estimated to have sold over 6 million copies in less than a month, there’s certainly a big audience with those platforms combined.

I’m glad I own both consoles so I don’t have to think about it haha

@Broosh @Naughtyottsel92 Yep, I don’t get why a lot of people are missing that. The messaging right now is contradictory to what they were saying for the last couple of years because there’s almost entirely different decision makers in charge now.

Ultimately, it’s up to them to do what they want with their IP, I just want them to make great games and what was shown today looks promising. As an owner of all consoles it’s nice not to have to even think about it anyway.
