Re: Fans Are Praying Dead Space Is on the Cusp of a Comeback

Stompin89

Let it lie. Video Game industry is going to fall into the same hole as Cinema. Only renewing IP and making sequal after sequal. New IP is exciting but never given the resource because it's "a risk". I don't disagree with anyone here about how great Dead Space was, but it WAS great. Look at Mass Effect, and people still want EA to repeat the same with Dead Space? Halo for me is another example. Halo 3 wrapped and made a masterpiece, then a new approach to the lore was REACH, a rare success of a flogged IP, but then they went one step further and though 4 and 5 on a gameplay were enjoyable, they taint the series

Re: Final Fantasy XV's Episode Ardyn Release Date Reminds Us Square Enix Is Still Working on This Game

I must be missing something here. The Royal Edition is the Game + Season Pass so the dlc will be part of it? Right?
FF hasn't stayed the same game. Anyone comparing the old to the new doesn't get the idea they're completely different games but with an ethos that connects the m. It's like comparing the Injustice Games to the Batman Arkham games...
FF 7, 8, 9, 10 and all fantastic in the old school.
FF 12 went in a different direction but was fantastic if you didn't mind grinding it out
FF 13 tried to go back to the old ways instead of owning what it was. When they did, 13-2 and 13-LR then they became amazing in their own right.
FF 15 has made the same mistake as FF 13 but tried to go back to the ways of FF 12 which is just odd. Having said that, I like 15 purely for everything it does differently to every other FF game to date

Re: PS4 Exclusives Unavailable for Pre-Order at Amazon UK

Amazon have never let you Pre-order games just before they're released. Pre-order has always been a well in advanced option. I think u answered your own question when you explained people flocked to Amazon. When the Gabe was announced and the first pre-ordered went up people, such as myself, went to Amazon.

I've since cancelled my preorder at Amazon as Smyths, who deliver free of charge, had it at only £40.99 (you get £5 off at the checkout). I'm not sure I'm guaranteed the game on the actual release date but I can only play games on weekends really... (The life of a Dad....)
