@carlos82 free PS4 to PS5 upgrades will be great, we just have to wait to see what they have to say about it, so far tho, it seems it's more about the developers than a certain system feature.
@phil_j people keep ignoring the fact that it's up to the publisher. Every PC remake or remaster that I know of, if you owned the old copy, you get the upgrade for free and there was never a specific name for this... system? Or feature?
@gomersoul I think the point of the remaster is for new players, meanwhile old players will get the upgrade based on how Rockstar is feeling... if you have to buy it again on PS5 I am willing to bet they'll just bypass Smart Delivery and sell it for Xbox Series X as well.
@RedShirtRod isn't that what this is saying? And just like Xbox's Smart Delivery, it's up to the developer/publisher to decide if they wanna do smart delivery or resell... that's what I'm getting from this.
@InsertUsername what exactly should I get over? I'm saying Smart Delivery should be a necessity and it shouldn't have to be advertised... similar to advertising the latest console as the most powerful... like, isn't that the point?
@carlos82 the fact that they didn't mention a PS4 to PS5 upgrade of GTA V is a reasonable reason to have doubts, we'll just have to wait and see. If they're planning on selling upgraded versions of PS4 games then they'll have to go extra hard with the exclusives, cause Xbox Series X is already more powerful and has more range in their backwards compatibility... and also Smart Delivery, if that isn't what PlayStation is offering.
@carlos82 maybe one of us misunderstands what's being said here but it seems identical to Smart Delivery. How GTA V on PS5 is handled is up to Rockstar, seems they're gonna be selling a standalone online version, but if you have the PS4 copy you should get the PS5 version for free, I think that's why they're giving away GTA dollars to all players leading up to the release.
Unlike Xbox, PlayStation doesn't have to market 'Smart Delivery' as it should be a no-brainer. Imagine being able to play your PS4 copy of The Last of Us Part II on PS5 then having to buy a PS5 copy to get an upgraded PS5 version.
The Last of Us Part II at number one and in second place is Cyberpunk 2077, for my list and that's as far as it goes. Where is the article on game of the decade tho? That poll has been open for a while.

@get2sammyb are you not going to publish the Game of the Decade article? You posted the poll.
