With so many goddamn games coming out every single week, it’s tough for titles like NITRO GEN OMEGA to stand out.
It’s a good thing that dev DESTINYbit has dropped a free demo on the PS Store, then, giving you a chance to put the RPG through its paces before it officially arrives on 12th May. You can download it through here.
The full game will cost $29.99/£24.99, and if you like what you play in the demo, then you can plop down a pre-order. All PS Plus subscribers will be eligible for a 10% discount.

But what exactly is it about this one that’s caught our eye?
Well, we love all of the little anime interludes which bring the title’s tactical turn-based battle system to life. You’ll get a glimpse of that in the trailer, but you’ll be able to try it out for yourself as part of the aforementioned demo.
These combat scenarios will be accompanied by airship-style open world exploration, where you’ll be able to take on contracts and recruit new pilots to your team.
There’s also a social element, where you’ll be able to interact with your crew during missions and forge relationships with your party.
So, combat, exploration, and relationships – all three tenets of a great RPG, wrapped up in an eye-catching, Dreamcast era aesthetic. Looks great, doesn’t it?
This one has been in Early Access for a while where it’s accumulated Very Positive reviews on Steam, so it comes recommended.
Obviously the PS5 version represents the release in its final form, with polished gameplay, an expanded soundtrack, and tons of quests.
We reckon this one could be a winner, it’s just that old adage: so many games, so little time.
