Tuned in but only half paid attention to avoid anything sticking in my mind too much. Already sold on the game, and every time I see the combat I get more excited to try it out for myself.
Haven't played Forbidden West yet, otherwise I would probably be excited for Burning Shores. Jedi: Survivor does look good, and Fallen Order was decent, but I am not paying full price for an EA title, especially since it will likely go on sale for $20 within a year or two. So basically, Mega Man Battle Network is what I'm actually anticipating at the moment, and even that I will probably pick up on Switch instead of PS.
I'm in the "retro is a meaningless term" category. To me, retro generally refers to anything in the era before home consoles output HD resolutions, so the PS3 does not fit what I consider to be retro. But, that is by no means an agreed-upon standard, so retro can mean something else to anyone else and I cannot argue that they are wrong.
@johncalmc If by "normal clothes" you mean more standard designs of their hero suits, then yes. The Midnight Suns variants of their outfits are unlockable bonuses, and wearing them is completely optional as far as I have seen so far (I've played close to 50 hours of the game). However, they cannot wear their civilian clothes into battle if that's what you were asking (but they can wear their hero suits in place of their civilian outfits!).
If you enjoy tactics games, Midnight Suns is definitely worth checking out. The social systems, dialogue, and other fluff between battles can be a bit of a slog, but the combat is absolutely worth it.
Microsoft trying to use Ghostwire and Deathloop as evidence that they've "expanded [their] footprint" of games shipped on PlayStation is utter bs. Personally, I am not very invested in the whole Activision deal because there are scant few Activision franchises that I give a damn about, but if Microsoft is going to resort to straight up lying then they can, to quote a great scholar, "shut up, or ***** off, ideally both, in either order."
I can't say I was expecting much so I don't feel all that disappointed.
I had been anticipating Suicide Squad for a long time now, and quite frankly it just is not what I was hoping for from Rocksteady. It looks like it could be fun enough to play, but I was anticipating to really Feel like I was each of those characters in the way the Arkham games make you feel like you are Batman. Might grab it on a sale or once the price drops if it reviews well enough.
Actually though the thing I got the most excited for was the Baldur's Gate 3 release date announcement. Genuinely excited for that. There was also that dog game that kinda looks like an expansion on the Clank puzzle sections from Rift Apart. That seemed interesting too. Oh! And Tchia looks nice too. Having that be on PS+ day one did pleasantly surprise me.
