I own a PS5 and had no issues transferring saves for Spider-Man, Crash 4, or Avengers. Sure the process could be more streamlined but hey at least the end result is better gameplay with an existing save. Can't beat that!
It's definitely an issue being made bigger than it is. Xbox may have automatic save transfers and Game Pass but PlayStation will always have great exclusives. That's why I'll always choose PlayStation over Xbox, no matter how radically "anti-consumer" analysts and news outlets make Sony out to be.
