@Jammer Their jobs could have varied greatly from game production to social media marketing and everything in between.
Sandfall did and incredible job making Clair Obscur, but whilst the core in-house team had around 30 members, they used a lot of external partners for art, animation, QA, voice production, etc. The true count of people who worked on it likely reaches into triple digits, and it sets a bad precedent for the industry to expect that a game of that quality can be made by 30 people, when it's simply not true, granted it definitely didn't need 4000!
Great memories with this series, and my personal favourite is The Twin Snakes, which was a 2004 remake of the first MGS using the engine of MGS2 and made exclusively for the GameCube. It was developed by Silicon Knights before they went bust. I don't know how much involvement Kojima had with it, but it was great fun regardless, a bit of a hidden gem.
@ButterySmooth30FPS When using the headset you can have what ever sized screen you want, like cinema size. Or you could lay down and play you games looking at the ceiling. It's just another way to play is all.
@Propaperpusher They specifically made this without the usual GaS nonsense, there's no daily's, no timed battle passes and no FOMO elements. This was literally made for people who don't have the time to keep up with all that. They just tried to make a fun multiplayer game set in the control universe that you can jump in with your friends at your own convenience.
@Waa-Laa I Get where you're coming from, I used to actively avoid multiplayer trophies and missed out on experiencing lot of great games, but once I got my 100th Plat with Astro Bot, I decided that was enough and now I'm giving all games a try without worrying about the trophies and loving every second of it. If anything, now I'm actively avoiding getting platinums because 100 is such a nice round number đ
@rjejr I guess theyâre riding off the relevance of the Netflix series right now to bring Avatar in. I agree that it doesnât really fit the vibe of the season. And you KNOW that the other characters will just appear in the store at their usual ridiculous prices. Not many people would pay for Korra, but for Aang and Zuko? Thatâs a different story đ°
@darkswabber that is true! But in this case you know that heâs referring specifically to animation from Japan when he says âwho even like animeâ. Still, it makes me chuckle when I realise that in Japan, they would refer to something like Shrek, as anime đ
@TrickyDicky99 there are some reasons, but the main ones would be battery and weight. I love my Quest 3, but the battery doesnât last long, and linking it to PC doesnât maintain its charge. So without having to spend a fortune on custom head straps and hot swappable batteries itâs nice to know the PSVR2 wouldnât have to be charged. The lack of battery also makes it a far lighter and comfortable headset to wear for long periods of time too. There is no perfect headset, each have their upsides and downsides.
@Sakai Have you tried any other headset beside the PSVR1? Because that headset lacks any sort of physical IPD adjustment, I literally CANâT use that headset due that. It always made me nauseous because the image is always blurred despite the inbuilt (and terrible) software IPD. First time I put a Quest 1 on and used the IPD slider to actually match my eyes I was blown away by how much clearer it was and have since sunk hundreds upon hundreds of hours on VR. This is why Iâm excited to try PSVR2, as it looks like itâs got some great IPD options to make things far more comfortable.
When it comes to general Vr sickness, aside from the IPD Iâm afraid itâs down to you, just gotta get your VR legs! I was the same when I started, you just gotta play for a bit each day, if you start to feel ill then take a break, donât try to push through it as it will only get worse. Repeat this and you will eventually just get used to it, how long varies from person to person but it took me about a week of playing on and off to get used to it, now itâs rare that I ever feel sick in Vr .
I feel like theyâve got complacent after the domination of the previous generation, they appear to be reaching Nintendo levels of âDoesnât matter how we do it, theyâll buy it anywayâ confidence. I miss the days of Shawn Layden, who seemed to show genuine enthusiasm and heart for the industry, now it just comes across cold and hollow with zero effort. Itâs a real shame.
Only just seen this! What an awesome opportunity. I spent most of my teen years hanging out with friends down Fort Hommet, so itâd be cool to come across it in the game in its original state. Looking forward to playing this.

Re: Metal Gear Solid Series: How to Get Started and All Games Ranked
@charbtronic Agreed. I always wondered if they ever considered porting it to later consoles, but it just never happened.

@MrMeeeseeeks you know Korra is an American cartoon right? That like saying Rick and Morty are anime skinsâŚ
