It was an OK game, I’m in my 50s been gaming since Elite on BBC Micro ( a real game changer), I play everything for about 10 years, the games that stand out to me are , all of the Souls Games, Sekiro, Outlast, Ghost of Tsushima, games that push the envelope, I also loved the Nioh games, creating a build that destroys, albeit it takes ages to do it
I agree Silent Hill 2 creates a detailed, visceral environment with excellent visual and auditory experiences, but having just completed it, I did start feeling it had an element of “ oh here we go again” , same enemies, familiar environments, somewhat repetitive and boring at times
I’ve purchased this game for the PS5, decided to put it aside because of the horrible performance issues, I just don’t understand what’s going on with the gaming industry these days, they have hardware to test these games, how are they allowing them to be published and purchased when they simply don’t work properly when other games companies can produce excellent titles with no performance issues I simply don’t get what’s going on
I’m on final boss of Wo Long on PS5, this game is brilliant in so many ways, it is tough going at times, but once you learn the moves and reactions needed it becomes like a dance to ultimately vanquish the bosses
Returnal was a game I was nervous to play, after reading about the difficulty , but I managed to finish it and it was absolutely brilliant and how all games should be, challenging, fair and innovative

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for August 2023 Announced
Definitely recommend Deaths Door, what a great little game, not easy, some of the bosses are quite tough, but a real gem of a game
